Nokia N75

Bluetooth on incoming calls locks up phone. Fine for about 1 1/2 weeks. Voice dial sucks - keeps dialing wrong numbrrs anbd doesn't even give you a chance to cancel. Buttons too cloae together. Guess I have fat fingers.

I was wondering if anyone know how to assign my own ringtone for a person in my phone book and for the alam ringtone as well. I have few ringtones saved on my memory card, but when i try to assign a rintone for phone book or Alam, it only shows the ringtones that came with the phone not my saved ones on the memory card. I got my N75 today. I started out hating it but it's starting to grow on me as I figure out how to use it. The manual says you can switch between normal and silent modes by pressing and holding the # button. This doesn't work for me. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is more or less a comment but I find this phone thoroughly impressive. I have never owned a 'smartphone' and decided to try something new. The OS is night and day from the standard phones I am used to. Now I see why so many of you are frustrated with the lack of sophisticated handsets here in the States.
For the first time in awhile I have a cool and higher end device.
Hope more phones like this find their way to at&t.

I ordered my N75 May 9th from Cingular, just received an email that they are back ordered. Talked to a rep and they said they will be getting 800 more tomorrow. The stores still don't have them either 😕

Does anyone know if this is possible. I keep hearing the music in the bluetooth headset and I want to hear the music through the speakers.

I know that when I have the bluetooth headset connected and the phone rings, I hear the music in both places.

Any help is appreciated.

Is it possible to have the wallpaper automatically change each time you open the phone using photos from a specific directory? Any developers out there listening? If there is no app for this already, this would be a cool app.

What 3g speeds are you all getting, especially anyone in the St. Louis MO area?

I had the n75 and returned it because I was only getting 128k, in a confirmed 3g area, in a the cingular store and other several other places around home. I had full signal and a new 3g sim. I was not tethered to a PC and was going to www.dslreports.com/mspeed to get my speeds.

I have a 6131 and can consistanly get around 130- 150 with it.

I might try the n75 again, but I want to see a definate speed improvement, it was one of the biggest things I was wanting over my 6131.

Help, please. How do you activate the vibrate feature? Nokia tells me there isn't one, yet it vibrates along with the ringer. Thanx.

i just called in this evening to return and get v3xx. really disappointed with nokia i have written before why didn't like it kept going back and forth. finally looked into v3xx has pretty similar features like n75 (the ones i would be using) for lot less money and sleek and stylish phone and then i will be getting the new razor by the end of the year. ☹️

I am a mac user. Any way to download ringtones, themes, etc so I can install on phone? Thanx.

Ive purchased 2 phones from amazon n75s for 39.99 and they have been both defective. when you buy a phone through amazon its actually wirefly this shouldnt be a surprize though. I think that the phones you get when purchased from amazon are defective phones i really do. I guess thats y they are able to sell them for that price. Also every time you ship a defective phone back to them you have to reorder another phone they wont exchange it. right know I have 2 lines open with cingular and cant cancel accounts till amazon calls cing and tells them the phones have been returned. Its been a nightmare. I should have just kept the one i ordered through cingy but i got greedy when i saw it on amazon for 39.99. I guess its true you pay for what you g...

Does anyone know how to play the music over the speakers and use the bluetooth headset for incoming calls. It seems to play the music over the bluetooth headset when it is connected, but I want to play the music over the speakers and then have it automatically go to the headset if and when I get a call. Any help is appreciated.

I ordered from Amazon on the first night for the $49 deal, no update on shipment, estimate still early to mid-June. 🙄

Now Amazon has the N75 for $39 from Wirefly and an est. shipping of 1-2 days! Or from Amazon direct for $39 - $25 rebate = $15!

I guess I might as well go ahead and cancel my $49 order. I hope getting the contract resign bonus doesn't get all screwed up if you cancel and re-order.. Anyone have any experience there?

If I went through the Amazon direct $15 deal, I imagine my order would then get placed last in queue behind everyone who bought since it became available. So I'll probably opt for the Wirefly instead of twiddling my thumbs for another 6 weeks while you guys get to play around with your N75s :...

Im interested in getting this phone but, can you do custome mp3 ringtone and msg tone without any problems And, how simple is it to use?

Has anyone experienced a tinny sound from the voice aid, msg reader, or voice command confirmations? I seem to have one that comes and goes. I also run a product on my phone called Mobile Speak ... I'm blind and it's a screen reader... Every so often it starts sounding bad. Comes and goes, and I haven't been able to figure out a pattern. Some of you who replaced your phone for hissing and such noises .. did you have this too?

Yes, I finally ponied up and got my N75 and I love it, so far. I am still in the battery conditioning phase (something I never did with my previous phones and regretted it) and I like the battery life I am getting so far.
But, one of the minor things I miss are the Timed Profiles that were available on my low brow Nokia phones. You know, when you could walk into a movie theater at 7pm and set your phone to the 'Silent' profile until 9:15pm when it would revert to the 'Normal' profile. I am hoping someone has a trick to make a Symbian phone do this out there.

i was just searching around and moto has released razr2 v8 and it looks promissing. but im not sure if i should wait for it since its launch is summer. some input would be helpful. thnx in advance

1: If I'm reading the phone right, front cover controlled by theme. I guess this means you can't change the wallpaper. Correct?
2- Is there a seperate control for the earpiece volume?
3- Is there any shortcut to the vibrate alert?
