E71 - Locked v. Unlocked

I am an old guy so bear with me. I need to get a phone with email, calendar, contacts that links with my Exchange Server. I am looking strongly at the Nokia E71. It appears that merely by adding roadsynch software that everything should link nicely. I was ready to buy yesterday and then the guy at Bestbuy added in the possibility of an unlocked phone. I understand there are advantages but trying to figure out if they apply to me. Also, any disadvantages? I do not travel abroad much so that's not an issue for me. I just don't know what it really means to be unlocked though? Can I not use Google maps on a locked phone but I can on an unlocked phone? Any help with advantages, disadvantages, thoughts, etc... would be appreciated. Thank you in a...

Finally got the chance to play with the N97

Guys im so excited at the moment, finally I got a chance to play with the N97... My cousin placed an order for it last week and received the phone today...

He got it for a very good price, he paid only $735.00 for the white color, made in Finland... I advised him to buy it from exotic phone because I usually place all my orders with them, their prices are pretty good... Anyways he followed my advice and got the phone from them and right now he is on top of the world...

Well, playing with the N97 was a pretty good experience, I really loved it... I wish I had enough money to buy one for myself. I have my fingers crossed, I hope for the price to go down really quick...

Nokia E72 NAM coming out this year?

I just saw the video of Nokia E72 that was said to be accidentally posted on youtube. Looks much better than E71 and said that jack will be the standard like E63. It comes in 3 colors. Anybody knows the detailed specs? Is the NAM version will be out this year? Hope it supports AWS 1700 for my T-mobile.

Going from N75 to ????

I'm looking for an update (or something) similar to the capabilities of the N75. Maybe something in bar form, with of course a higher MP camera (5 sounds great). I love the 16M display so let's keep that. Any phones fit this bill ?

Cincinnati Bell releases Nokia 5800

Cincinnati Bell is a local provider in the Cincinnati area, and just launched exclusively the Nokia 5800! Surprised

This should help the company against the "touch" competition out there. This device is great. The cool factor beats the i-phone, and overall specs/apps beat all the other touch devices on the market currently.

Is it S60 or the camera???

Okay, I have tried out the E71, the 6650 Flip, and now the 5800 XPress Music, and all of them take grainy pictures. I had first thought it was a camera issue, but seeing it has happened on three S60 devices with three different cameras, I am now thinking it is a software issue.

Any ideas on how to get this issue resolved???

Adorama.com has anyone bought from there before? I am looking at getting an unlocked gsm phone from them. The n79, n85, or the n86 when it comes out. Right now they are having a sale on the n85. They have great feedback from resellerratings.com. Anyone get an unlocked phone from them and have problems?

n85 vs n96 vs n95

Which one of these is the best right now. I now that they are similar, but I read that the graphics coprocessor is not in the n85 or n96. So that is why I was thinking of getting the n95. But heard that the n95 isn't that good either.

So I guess my question is

Does the n95 only have the graphics coprocessor? If so how does this affect the n85 or n96 when it comes to playing videos and games? I read that there is a significant difference. That the videos and games are choppy and don't run as smooth.

Also is the build on the N series not good? I read that the slider parts tend to come loose on both the n85 and n95.

Does anyone have any suggestions about these phones? Is there phones from companies that are similar to t...

Nokia 5800 (aka Tube) coming this month

So I heard at TheNokiaBlog that this is slated to appear at retailers on Feb. 26th. Since the FCC ok'd the phone for At&t's 3G network, does anyone know if At&t is gonna pick up the phone and subsidize it?

Nuance Voice Control (NVC) 2.0

Does anyone know if this software will be available as a download or will it be an add on by manufacturer only?

(NASDAQ: NUAN), a leading provider of speech solutions, today announced the availability of Nuance Voice Control (NVC) 2.0, a customizable modular framework that allows operators and handset OEMs to speech enable any feature, application, or network service on any mobile device they bring to market, including feature phones.

Need Help Deciding - N79 vs N82 for ATT

I'm leaning towards the N79, but it seems like nobody's buying this phone. It looks like it's the right setup for the US market so that seems even more weird.

Anyone have any input? N82 owners seem happy with their phones...

Most masculine and feminine Nokia phone families

I was wondering, I would like to do a poll on which Nokia phone families are the most masculine and feminine.

For those who don't know what are the families, here they are:
>>1000 - Ultrabasic
>>2000 - Basic
>>3000 - Expression
>>5000 - Active
>>6000 - Classic/Business
>>7000 - Fashion
>>8000 - Premium
>>9000 - Communicator

For the most feminine, the 7000 series easily gets my vote. As for masculine, I know that some would choose the NSeries, however, I personally find most of the 3000 series being masculine (at least that was the case with the 3620 that I had before I upgraded to the N75).
