np..thanks for the answer..but let me refrase my question..and I just realized you may not be able to awnswer right now because I dont think you have any of the transflash cards for that phone. What I was reffering to was the actuall STEREO playback for full mp3 music on the phone..not just a regular mono headset like the bluetooth headsets out now, someone did mention that the v710 has a standard headphone jack (?) I could be wrong (or they could be I should say), but again..at this time you may not have the bility since you may not have a memory card to transfer songs to. :?
on a side note:
I have an I700 and it does play mp3 music through the speakerphone and I have a stereo headset that connects to it that also double as a hands free unit, but the ringer will not play through the headset..this is pre-set by samsung that way..but when I do talk to someone through the stereo headset both left and right speakers of the headset are used..

while i, too, wish that the phone could be closed while on the speaker phone, i dont think it is possible.
i see what you are saying with the speakerphone button on the side...nonetheless, i highly doubt that it will answer the call
on page 41 of the FCC manual it states:
"Note: Because the microphone and earpiece are unavailable when the phone is closed, you must use a headset or other handsfree device with this feature."
i wish i were wrong, but somehow i feel this feature will not work while the phone is closed.

To get to shortcuts quickly just memorize the keys; from idle desktop just push joystick and push # then 9. Should be able to get there in less than half a second. Another good one to know is push joystick and push * then 7 this is used to get to the accessories menu for those of us who use the incredible Salling Clicker.
Note: You can use number pad to navigate menus (1 for first menu item, 2 for second etc.). To navigate first level of desktop use number pad as a 3x4 grid of icons where 1 is top-left and # is bottom-right.

:wink: Well i agree with everything that BegtoDiffer has said..we do not normally have to have the same coverage/serivce in a particular licensed area. The roaming agreements do help considerably for both carriers though. Both carrier's customers take advantage of seamless coverage nationwide. On another note..in response to a former message about phones...they are coming. The slider is here finally, a new nokia color screen is coming..and an updated LG camera phone is on the way...the line up for Alltel will be completely changed going into 4th quarter..and with the new licenses being auctioned off in january...we MIGHT be a major player to be dealt with, within all the shifting and buying out of other carriers....just FYI
