Re: HAHA
I can't stomach Scientology. Kooks and wackos, the entire lot.
... Although L Ron Hubbard has lived my dream.
As a kid growing up, I loved Tokien, so much to the point that I went to Exeter College. When I finished reading the Silmarilion for the umpteenth million time, I theorized that if intelligent aliens were given the Bible, Koran, the Torah, and the Silmarilion and asked which book was the historical record of Man, the Silmarilion would be the book chosen.
Note, I do include the Upanishads or the Rig Vedas of the Hindus because those tomes of books and stories are unlike anything I've ever read in any other religions.
But anyway, my dream has been to write a book that people a thousand years from now, as they come back out of the caves, would find my book and take it for their Bible. Hubbard just got lucky and found alot of stupid rich entertainers that created that dream in his lifetime.

Please note my use of Emoticons
I was being sarcastic.
I'd object to being a called a Fanboy of just about anything - except Apple. I love their stuff & almost everything they do. Even if I wasn't however, I'd still actively encourage people NOT to buy a Zune, as the compromises it makes with the music industry, and the horribly compromised song "sharing" scheme are ridiculously anti-consumer. I sincerely hope this device fails spectacularly, not only because I'm kinda an anti-fan of MS, but also because the trends this device supports are bad for EVERYONE except the music indusry executives. Artists & consumers are BOTH screwed by the revenue model the Zune represents.
I was just noticing all the hype about the (ahem) "iPhone" (by CISCO?!?!?!?!?), and mentioned the Zune phone as an attempt at summoning further Zune haterage.
Re: Please note my use of Emoticons
The Zune sharing is limited. It actually helps the industry (in the financial aspect).
Microsoft limits the sharing to three plays or three days (whichever comes first).
Then you have to make a purchase.
I'm sure people can find a way around this but the idea that the developers had was to convince us as the consumer to advertise the product to the other consumer. Why? People will buy MUCH more if they have the advice of someone they know personally.
Another Insurance Winner!
C: I lost my phone and signal won't replace it.
m: (looks at account and sees no insurance has EVER been on it) That would be because your account does not cover insurance.
C: They were sposed to put it on in the store.
M: I apologize for that, but there's no insurance on the acct, therefore they cannot process a claim for you. However--
C: THEY WERE SPOSED TA PUT IT IN INNA STORE! DAT AIN'T MY FAULT!
M: Actually, ma'am, it is your responsibility to make sure the features you requested have been added to your acct.
c: I've been having problems with them for 6 months! (*Note: acct's only been open for two months and is past due)
m: Again, ma'am, I do apologize, but the fact remains there is no insurance on this acct, and if you're in need of a new phone, you will have to pay full retail price for one.

Re: calendar reminder question
No. That's one of the stikin' "new features" on the 8300. In my older 6100 it was a pleasure. Always ON TIME setting. The whole new look of reminders is a huge way back than on the 6100.
Note to LG: Before you change such settings, please contact me first! :D
Re: Don't You Just Hate it When.....
on that note... i hate it when a spouse calls and askes to have the dvc gps located to find out if they are cheating..and after i tell them that the gps in their phone is only used by e911 they freak and ask to have the last numbers dialed read out to them.
if i'm in a foul mood i usually make up numbers, and tell them a few steamy fake text msgs.
