Samsung SPH-M500

No CD came with the box, and Samsung or Bell doesn't have the drivers on their website. How am I supposed to use the USB cable when I can cannot recognize it. Does anyone know where the usb drivers are for this phone?

i was wondering if is there anyway to be able to manipulate all the data with a PC that we can find of the SPH-m500, i've tried with BitPim, without succes, it dont show up with the SPH-m500, so if anybody have any suggestions ! Reply

I keep randomly hitting something that says "Continue last text message?" but I can't seem to figure out what button it is and it would be very useful since I seem to have to start new text messages all the time. So does anyone know what that button is?

I'm having a problem receiving messages from short codes (like a third party ring tone site). My example is this, my bank has a short code that allows you to check your balance. Any time I text it I receive nothing back, however, other chase bankers can do this from their sprint phones and receive something back.

Does anyone know what could possibly be the problem? I already contacted sprint however... they weren't too knowledgeable about the situation.

I'm getting this phone, and I had a few questions about it.

1) Does it support MicroSDHC, or just MicroSD? In case you guys don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the external memory. SDHC is 4 or more GB, SD is 2 or less GB.

I have a 4 gig MicroSDHC, so I was wondering if I'd be able to use it with this phone.

2) Is there any way to keep the small LCD on so I can check what time it is without opening it?

3) I know that you can put mp3s and 3gp videos on the phone, but what about pictures? Also, can you save the pictures you take with the built in camera directly to the memory stick? What about Videos you take? Also, can you put content(Games, ringtones, and other things like that) onto it from a computer and use th...

which one should i buy? the razr is older but it looks good and this phone looks not as good but has an mp3 player(i have an ipod though) 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕

Is there anyway to make mp3s or any other file format type into a ring tone. I can download it to my phone, but when I go into my video to retreive it it says there are no media files stored.

There must be someway to do it without having to pay money to use a website.

So I just found out this phone won't let you set two separate images for the main + sub lcds.

Just got the phone and am dissatisfied with the battery life. Has anyone tried an extended battery? I know you have to buy the both the extended battery and door. Is it worth it?

Ive figured out most of the features so far , really like the phone , but I'm wondering if there is a way to keep the LCD screen on while making a call, I dial a # then start talking but the LCD screen wants to turn off , something like power save mode but i disabled the function for power save mode already so that is not the issue.

Whenever i put my micro sd card into the phone, the card doesn't click in or aything and when i close the slot it doesn't hold the card in. My dad and sister have the same phone and its the same problem. I am forced to hold it down everytime i want to use it.

So, the M500 ships with a 32MB card, the Samsung documentation says the phone will support 512MB, and 1GB and 2GB cards are really cheap on ebay -

so, has anyone upgraded to a larger card, and if so, how's the larger card working for you?

I am considering this phone for an upgrade and want to know if I can put mp3 songs on it pretty easily with the usb or if I can do it with a card reader or what? Thanks.

There should be a way to do it since there is an option under the media player, but everytime i select bluetooth device, it gives me a device not found. Im using the motorola h700 and i know its connected cuz i can use it on calls. So is there a way to listen to music using bluetooth? Thanks.

proud new owner of an m500, and i'm wondering if anyone might know how to send/receive faxes, i.e. use the phone as a modem? thanks much in advance!!! also, if it is possible, is it possible to do it without the vision/data package?

Help...when i receive a text the "from" has their phone number, and the person is in my contact list. Why doesn't it show their name instead of number? Is there a setting i'm missing?
I'm ok with names, but not with remembering everyone's number. I want to see who's sending me the text.

Is this phone compatible with a 2gb MicroSD memory card?

Can anyone tell me how to create a playlist of different MP3s on my memory card? I have a large memory card with alot of music on it, but can't find out how to create a playlist of certain songs. Thanks

All I want to do is be able to hear the Telenav driving directions with this phone. Is that too much to ask??

But of course, there is no way to switch the Telenav directions to the speaker phone. The Garmin system does this, why not Telenav??

So I figure, hey I'll buy a bluetooth headset, that should do it right? But from what I can figure out, the headset only works with telephone calls and won't work with applications, media player, etc.

So is the only way to hear the Telenav driving directions with this phone really to drive around with the phone pressed up against your ear or plug in the wired earphones???

Argh, why do things that should be simple turn out to be so difficult?

Or am I just stupid and am missing somethi...
