Re: Long Note to "Ron" at VZW
InOverMyHead,
That was probably the most well written, well thought out, detailed post I've ever read on this entire site.
I could not agree with you more on your thoughts about VZ's technology, their network and their competitors ability to come up from behind and snatch their business. As you've said, we've reached a turning point and VZ's biggest strength was its reliable service - and now it's biggest competitors are becoming just as reliable. They've already got the phones so the playing field is becoming level. We can only hope that your message does not fall on deaf ears.
Also, this is the most comprehensive mobile phone website on the internet. It's viewed by thousands of subscribers. It would be nice to get some word in official capacity from VZ on here rather than from the guy that fixes the copiers at a VZ corporate office stating he's got "inside word".

Re: Long Note to "Ron" at VZW
I forgot to mention InOverMyHead: If you want to send this letter to VZW directly, the address to their executive relations is:
Complaints / Concerns
600 Unicorn Park Dr
P.O. box 400 Woburn MA 01801
This address is to the "big dogs" so to speak. Make sure you include your mobile telephone number and they will respond. VZW does care about their customers, its just hard to take care of all 51.3 million customers.

Re: Long Note to "Ron" at VZW
Correct, and one of the reasons VZW does disable OBEX on most phones is because of contractual obligations to the developers of BREW apps you find in Get It Now. Granted, this does provide a perk for the company, but still.
Re: Wake up folks...please...just wake up
I agree, and I do have a nice digital camera... only problem... is that I never seem to have my camera handy... yea, if I go to Disneyland or someplace like that, of course I bring the good one, but most the time I'm just out and about and find myself wishing I had my digital... so I really can't complain... its certainly better than no camera... one last note... I was just at a wedding and one of the things people were chatting about and laughing is how all their digital cameras take pics of people turning their heads or starting to walk away... so my point is even the good ones have some delay...
Re: "upper mid-range"
The 822? :?
Note that we don't call it high-end. I have no idea what Kyocera would call it, but I seriously doubt they would consider it a "flagship" in their whole lineup. When I said "flagship" I only meant among those three phones.
djdelay is right - without EVDO, and with only a 1.3 megapixel camera, I just might laugh at anyone trying to pitch it as "high-end". It doesn't even have a QVGA display... it's really a mid-range phone.
