One option you may wish to exercise before purchasing a new handset is to send your Hiphop/Sidekick directly to Danger the manufacturer and have one of their certified service and repair technicians look at it for you. It may be something as simple as recalibrating the transceiver circuit board which I've seen from time to time happen with GSM/GPRS devices. Give Suncom a call to get the phone number for Danger so you can it shipped off to them.

well you have to do an upgrade to be able to switch the insurance. if you purchased the equipment only i don't believe you would be able to get insurcance on it. correct me if im wrong.

I think as long as you purchase the phone through T-Mobile you can still get insurance....I think....lol I vaguely remember doing it before...But it has to be bought from T-mobile. Not Ebay. Switching the IMEI doesnt' matter unless its bought from us
