well having never owned a sk3 I can only tell you why not to buy a samsung t809 pos. 1. dust under screen 2. flimsy as a credit card 3. ascending ringtones - most annoying thing since crazy frog.

What you heard about reception with the SK3 is correct. I got one Sunday, seemed great playing with the sales rep's SK3 in the store; keypad great (better than my Treo 600), nice features, EDGE speed on the browser. But I am returning it today. The reception is really, really bad.

LG 8100...text on the outside screen...decent camera (for a phone)..good reception. LG 9800...great battery life, great keyboard for texting..great reception sidekick I (color) the first must have phone that I can remember i pretty much loved any samsung sprint came out with..they had the best phones of any carrier for a while during 2001-2003 period.

Re: If YOU had to choose... Cingular 8125, Sprint 6700, or Sidekick 3 (T-Mobile)

The 8125 is definately alot more device than the SK3 would be. I've seen the SK3 in person and it did not impress me one single solitary bit. The only think the SK30 has over the 8125 is that it's a little easier to IM. The 8125 feature kills the SK3.

As far as spces are concerned, the 8125 and 6700 are pretty much the same phone. The differenc here will be in coverage. Cingular defenately has a larger coverage area. Spring is actually the 3rd major us carrier coverage wise. So if you want "more bars in more places", I'd give the Cingular 8125 the EDGE here. And it doesn't have that annoying antena sticking out of ot like the 6700. Oh, and the 8125 is quad band so you can use it in 185 different countries around the world.

Sidekick charging wrong? Help
by ssnxp    Jul 23, 2006, 3:28 PM

I know it was recommended to charge for at least 4 hours, but I only let it charge for 3. Now even after I charge it for a full night, it's still charging the next day. Is there any way to fix this?
