If you notice the motos have a Different user interface but verizon is slowly making every company use their own like the one on the LGS the new samsungs coming out i think are going to have the same interface. so i think when all the phones get the standard UI they will have all the same stuff. again i could be wrong im just trying to make an educated guess.

The problem is that our competitors were telling people to use this to get out of the contract so there was a stop put to it. Here's how it works, if you ask to be let out of your contract because of this we will offer a credit for the remainder of the contract, if you still choose to cancel you are NOT fulfilling your contract and will be subject to the ETF. I agree part of the way, VZW did nothing wrong by adding the fee increase...it is perfectly legal for them to do this...what they DID wrong is by telling people that they CANT get out of their contracts. It clearly states in the thrid or fourth paragraph of the contract: "UNLESS OTHERWISE PROHIBITED BY LAW, WE CAN ALSO CHANGE PRICES AND ANY OTHER CONDITIONS IN THIS AGREEMENT AT ANY TIME BY SENDING YOU WRITTEN NOTICE PRIOR TO THE BILLING PERIOD IN WHICH THE CHANGES WOULD GO INTO EFFECT. IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE YOUR SERVICE AFTER THAT POINT, YOU'RE ACCEPTING THE CHANGES. IF THE CHANGES HAVE A MATERIAL ADVERSE EFFECT ON YOU, HOWEVER, YOU CAN END THE AFFECTED SERVICE, WITHOUT ANY EARLY TERMINATION FEE, JUST BY CALLING US WITHIN 60 DAYS AFTER WE SEND NOTICE OF THE CHANGE." ...note the bolded area...if the changes have an adverse effect on you, you can cancel your service without any early termination fee. Regardless if of the fee, its still a contract violation on VZW's behalf. What VZW should have done is to say that this fee would be imposed onto your account when you account goes month to month...this way there would have been no way for the users to get of their contract, because the terms of the original contract have not changed.

I agree. Verizon wants customers to BUY additional ringtones & wallpaper. So it's not LG but Verizon who is the culprit!!

Re: Actual "real music" ringtones?
by oswaldtheoperator    Oct 3, 2005, 2:16 PM
in the Samsung SCH-A970 forum

On the first version of the v710 I had I could actually download songs from my computer to my transflash card, and then put the transflash card into my phone, and copy songs from my transflash card to my phones memory, and then use it as a ringer(*Note I also edited the songs on my computer to 30 seconds or less so that they would fit onto my phones memory). Then I started having issues with my 710's bluetooth (static with the headset) so I had verizon send me a refurbished, but newer version of the phone (newer software) and the copy feature was taken off the new phone!!! So verizon yet again realized that they werent making every possible dollar they could from me and crippled an awsome feature!!! Can't say that I'm surprised though. I am wondering for anyone that has the 970, if the same feature is available (copying feature from transflash to phone) or if it is even possible to get a real music song from get it now??? Even if you do have to pay for it!!!??? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated because this is kind of a dealbreaker for me getting this phone. :) Thanx

New T-Mobile Samsungs
by mark0000    Oct 5, 2005, 10:39 AM
in the T-Mobile forum

Alright, I just got an email from samsung about a sales contest for T-Mobile for our area. We've all seen them, register sales and get a chance to win stuff. Good, great, whatever. Except that two phones I have NEVER SEEN BEFORE. Eligible for this contest are the t309 and t809. I believe the models must be renamed for launched since I don't believe any announced Samsungs are going with a "t checked gsmarena.com and phonescoop to try to compare photos to figure out the REAL model number and this is all I have to offer. Both are all black with internal antennas. The t809 is a slider that definitely has bluetooth as it is one of the prizes with a bluetooth headset. The t809 is NOT the d720 and yet seems to square to be a d500/d600 mod. The t309 has a form factor more similar to an e715 though not quite as squared, and the external LCD looks suspiciously to be full color. The true identity of the t309 is tough since the only picture available is a flip closed (no keypad viewable). It lacks the music controls of the e720/730. Though all black and SLIGHTLY different in styling it seems close to a Sam z500 or an e620 but seems doubtful we would get 2 bluetooth handsets at once. That's what I've got. What does everyone else know about these? Note-The contest runs through Nov 30th so these should be released soon. The site with the photos is password protect so I won't post it.

Customers WILL be charged: 1. when they access their Voicemail messages from their wireless phone. Normal airtime rates will apply based on their price plan. In addition, when accessing Voicemail from outside their Home calling area, airtime + long distance, roaming and other charges may apply. 2. if they receive Voicemail messages while roaming. Note: If a customer receives a Voicemail message and they do not have a plan that rerates to $0 (such as a nation plan) when they are roaming in a foreign market, they will be billed for air and toll. Voicemail and Mobile to Mobile: 1. Calls to check Voicemail using the programmed retrieval number in the handset are not included with any M2M package. 2. When someone leaves a message in the customer's Voicemail box, the customer is not charged for the call to the deposit number. 3. Calls made from the Voicemail platform through Rapid Reply are billed at normal airtime rates.
