What is your reasoning for saying it sucks?

My sister just called in a few days ago because her phone would no longer charge and she was greeted with a friendly and helpful rep. Within five minutes of calling, an order had been processed for a new phone to be shipped. She just got it today, and everything worked out extremely well.

Do you work for them? Everyday we get hung up on, every Monday morning 9 mintue wait time? And it seems like every day customer service reps. can do less and less. I surely hope we get better as a company.

No I do not work for the company. Sorry to hear that you're having so many problems! I hope they get resolved and I too hope that the customer service aspect of Cingular improves drastically, and soon if that's what so many are experiencing.

Good luck!

Why do you, as an employee, need to call customer service? You should have POS.com or Telegence (or something similar) that can do most everything you need.

Monday morning is the highest call volume time for most customer service lines when they are closed Sunday.

I have POSII, but most of the stuff you can't do on pos, you cant look at accounts that are suspended, or waive number fee's, and I am not a corp. store. I am a authorized Dealer. Yeah, and most of customer services are open on Sunday. Check out JDM power and assoc. why we almost rated last, Idk if it's cause we took over AT&T and we can't handle it? But I dont know

You rated last too.

It isn't just customer service that creates that score, it is people like you as well.

It doesn't seem as though he is trying to disassociate himself from the company. He did use the term “we” in a couple of his statements which means he feels as though he is part of the team. I think he was si...

Thank you, I am not bashing, but there is a serious prob. with Cingular, I hope we get on the right track, like I said earlier I have helped every single customer that has asked. I do whatever it takes to get that sale. WITH EXCEPTION of a few, cuz we aint perfect.

Even as a corporate store sales rep, we have access to pretty much anything we neede to do anything to someone's account, but we aren't AUTHORIZED to make those changes without fear of losing our jobs. We have to have manager approval or customer service approval. Considering that our manager is almost unreachable even when he's in the store, we have to call customer service at all times of the day.

If you only have to wait 9 minutes at any point on a Monday, consider yourself lucky. We refer to Monday as billing hell day, call volume is about 30-40% higher than just about any other day of the week. You are not being hung up on, btw. Calls drop, it happens all the time. Customer care agents can have every single button they have ever pressed on a phone logged, if it is found that an agent is disconnecting a call for any reason, that would lead to severe discipline and possible termination. People always assume that a rep hangs up on them. It does happen, don't get me wrong, lord knows there are some reps who really need to be doing something else with their lives, but it is an extremely, extremely rare occurence.

It does get frustrating. I used to work in a call center and they would actualy do that as a joke. I quit and came to a store and now i am on the recieving end.

That's just great, because my recent experience has been the exact opposite. It took a week to get an acceptable replacement to my 6230. And then when they offer the s710a, they offer a credit of $50.00 due to me having money tied up in Nokia accessories that I won't be able to use. Then they turn around and call me at 11:30PM just to tell me that they won'...

Good to hear that! I have been with Cingular for about 1 year, and in the Wireless Industry, for 3 years, and every person that has walked thru that door I have helped, and have gone out of the way to help them. With the exception of a couple, bad day lol! ☹️ But other than that I have to hear that customer service was rude, or that's not what your people said over the phone. So good luck to you!
