I like the touch phone (xv6900) but the verizon sales person insists that I must subscribe to their internet service for $30. a month. According to her it is very easy to accidently touch the internet key and suffer the charges incurred unless one has the service they are selling. I like the pda for the address function and the calender but have no need for another internet connection - especially one on such a small screen. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be. Can this function be disabled? Is it as easy to connect as she suggests?

I have a samsung muse. I am having problems trying to get my mp3s to play as a ringtone... So.. help...

Title sums it up. I'm curious if I could put Opera on a sidekick lx. Id like to be able to check out Youtube and what not.

Im trying to figure out a way to put ringers on the this F'er also...

I just got the HTC Touch XV6900 from Verizon. Does anyone know where to get free programs and applications and games? And how do i free up memory on it? I had the pearl 8130 and all i had to do was get in the program files and remove what i didnt want. is it that easy on this phone?

Can anyone tell me how to make my ID available to others when I call on my new BB 8700c? I just swapped from a Treo 750 and everyone tells me my calls appear on their phone as "private caller". Thank you.

So, I love my new blast, except for the fact that it has two delete keys and no comma key. Does anyone know of a mod or a method for getting that delete key to act as a comma?

😡 I downloaded some .mp3 format ringtones yesterday and loaded a few into my Motorola KRZR (via USB). No problems doing that, BUT when selecting the ringer (normal or low), the .mp3 files don't show up in the list of ringers i can select....

Is this because i cannot use .mp3 files as a ringer ? How can i set an .mp3 as a ringer (incoming calls) ?

I'm interested in getting the Sprint Blackberry Curve whenever it comes out, But I was wondering if anybody that's familiar with Ringerpost and Rumkin.com knew if those ringers worked with a blackberry?

I have a sony 580 from at&t and the dang thing has the full mp3 as a ringtone capablitlity locked. Anyone know how to remove the lock? I know just get a ringtone maker and cut the song but i don't want or need two files on one phone. I know this capability exists because i have a Dobson cellular w580 and you can use full mp3 for ringtones and message alerts. How depressing that att needs money from ringtones so bad it criples its phones. I even tried getting it unlocked for the purpose of using it in canada when i go fishing and the new sim works but still the capabilities are crippled and i'm pissed. 2 year ext and 100.00 for something thats crippled. Thats like buying a car with a limiter to 50 miles per hour speed. If anyone knows...

Am not planning on changing any settings, but out of curiosity was wondering what was in there. Had looked at a Moto i850 service menu, and found it interesting, but am curious about the PM 225 and the LG Rumor.

Ok, I work for a major wireless provider and currently have a customer who is needing to send her phone to repair, where they usually completely wipe the phone's memory. There is a voice record/memo (left by her fiance who passed away a couple of months ago) that she wishes to save...

Is there a way to retrieve the memo from the phone (ie transfer it to a computer preferably)? I've tried going in to the phone via bluetooth with my laptop and the voice memos don't show up that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just upgraded from a Sony W300i to a 580i. So far I love it, but there's one feature I don't seem to have - the ability to set ringtunes, pics, etc. for individual contacts. That was a real plus in my W300i.

Did Sony drop the ball on this feature, or am I just missing something???
