Tricked Out

I am new to these forums but would like to ask a question to anyone. I just recently bought my daughter a LG UX 5000 cellphone, her carrier is US Cellular and wondered what types of ringtones it supports. I want to send her some or buy some for her and am not sure whether it supports mp3 tones or or what kind to buy. I am a new cell phone user myself so don't know much abt them other then what i have been looking up on the net. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does anyone know how to get bluetooth to work on verizon phones. I talked to customer service and they said verizon blocks it on their phones, but they said there is a way to get around it, but they weren't allowed to tell me how, and suggested i visit this site.

I have had my Nokia e62 for about a month now and I love it. However there aren't too many people who know much about it - sometimes even the techs! I'm new to PDA's and smartphones so my question may be simple.
Is there any way to put screensavers on the Nokia e62? I called the Nokia Tech Dept. 2x - the first person told me yes but its not called screensavers but "Display Configuration". However, she didn't know how to access it nor how to put downloaded screensavers on the phone. The second time another person told me that e62 phones do not support any additional screensavers. Does anyone know which it is and if possible, how to change screensavers?

Hello. I'd like to keep some MP3 and Midi ringtones that are currently on my Motorola V551 and move them to my LG VX8300 before I cut off Cingular service(I know how to enable MP3 payback on this phone already) So, I am a Mac guy and one of you very bright bulbs must know how I can keep my favs and not have to suffer the indignities of some of the worst Verizon rigntones I have ever heard! Can you help? Moving my wallpaper was as easy as sending an empty text message with a pic from the old phone to the new. I just can't figure out the ringtones. Thanks.

Don't know if others have seen this, but I noticed they're having an expert event on the Motorola-sponsored Q support forum site next week (10/2 - 10/6) on streaming live TV to your Q using a Slingbox. If it's like the last expert event, there will be a link in the forum news box at the bottom of their home page that takes you to the event, where you can ask questions about the Q and Slingbox. I just started with Verizon, and have a Motorola e815 phone. I found a .wav file of the ring tone I want, and sent it to my phone via email from my computer. When I open the message on the phone, however, I can't store the file to the phone to make it a ring tone.

I called Verizon tech support and the guy told me that they restrict downloading files from messages (because of V-Cast, he said), but that he has heard of people doing it. He told me to come to this forum to find a work-around to get the file onto my phone.

Does anybody know how I can do this? Preferably free or low cost? Thanks.

I have finally figured out how to get mp3's converted to .wav files and transferred to my phone for use as a ringtone. the problem I am encountering is that the .wav files are huge and I do not know how to cut the size of the song down to, say, just the chorus. Can someone help me with this?

Or do you know how to get the cingular 8125 to accept .mp3 files as ringtones?

Anyone know how to remove all the junk cingular installed on my new w300? I hate how they locked out using full mp3 as ringtones. other than that the phone is really cool.

i recently picked up the Nokia 6682 from Cingular and was wondering if anyone knew how or where to find more of the themes that change the appearence of the UI. it came with a few, but whenever i try to find more on the MEdia net i can't. is it possible to download via data cable fron nokia's website?

Like i can make a playlist of whole songs and use it as IPod?

Is there a way to download a free version of AIM onto the Q? All I can find is a version that costs around $30.

I've encoded several clips from songs that I've extracted, they play fine on my RAZR, but they are still a bit large, and fill up my memory fast.

For example:
39 second MP3
Bit Rate: 64kbps mono
Sample Rate: 48kHz
Size: 312KB

Does this seem a bit large? What bit rate would you suggest?
