smart phone Vs pda based phones

Hello folks,
what's your take in the next 2 - 3 years for smart phone vs pda based phones capturing majority market share? Which will prevail?

On a related note, Gartner estimates that smart phone shipment will overtake pdas (not pda-phones). Link ->

Price of the both types of phones is bound to go down with time.

Personally, I prefer a PDA phone to a smart phone should the cost be lesser than what it is right now. What other factors do you think are keeping the PDA based phone at bay?
Form factor?
Features (Camera?)
OS?

Both types of equipment have essentially outsourced the UI to software 3rd party (Mico$oft, Symbian..)
Do you think this will be ...

My Sony-Ericsson T610 Deletes BT headset!

Hi everyone,
I have a T610 and just purchased a Motorola HS810 Bluetooth headset. Everytime I go to connect with "My Devices", it deletes my previously stored headset. So everytime I want to use my BT headset, I must perform "Device Discovery"(or letting the phone recognize a new device) and type in the pass code.

The phone is supposed to recognize my headset and all I have to do is connect with the headset and thats it! Instead the phone keeps deleting the headset when I try to connect with it.

HELP!!

Thanks,
AcuraGuy

Movies anyone?

Does anyone know how to format a full feature length film: ex: The Matrix, lord of the rings, etc..onto an SD card to play on your cell phones display? If so could you tell me where to go and what would be the best converter software?

Unlocked V600

Someone I know purchased an AT&T V600 on e-bay and wants to use it on Cingular's network. I changed technology for him and inserted his sim card and it said to insert sim, then it said contact service provider. We tried Motorola's customer service but there was no help. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what to do now. I was under the impression that all gsm motorola's are unlocked. Does that apply to Cingular GSM Motorola phones? Thanks in advance for your help.

Help. Why "unlock".

I'm looking for a used cell phone on ebay. Many are advertised as "unlocked" yet my local service provider, US Cellular, tells me not to buy an unlocked phone. US Cellular says that they won't transfer my phone number to an unlocked phone???

Switch between two phones

Would it be possible to have two cell phones with the same number and switch back and forth by changing the chip inside? Is anyone considering this as a new feature?

I am going to purchase the Siemens XS66 but it would be nice if I was going out on the weekend to have a small phone I could use as a backup.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

Super Sexy Phone?

I just saw the commercial for the Motorola Razr V3 and it looks sweet! It's super thin, made out of aircraft aluminum and is ready for bluetooth. Also visited the site www.hellomoto.com/us/v3 and it really is unlike any cell phone I've ever seen. Any idea on the price of this one? Anyone own it and use the camera and video capture feature? My contract is almost up (whew finally) and I want this phone!

Attention VX7000 users - question........

I just got my new LG VX7000 phone yesterday, and so far I'm very happy with it. everything looked fine yesterday when i was organizing and adding contacts etc. I shut the phone off before I went to bed, and this morning, I noticed that at the top of the main screen, just under the signal meter, there is a graphics glitch that looks like a small red triangle. it's like the red border across the top of the screen protrudes down into the wallpaper area. it's shaped like a triangle. and blends into the actual top red border. same color, no break in the graphics.

Does anyone else have this on their phone?
I'm going back to verizon today to ask them about it. like I said, it wasn't there the whole time i was using the phone yesterday.

NOKIA 6620 -- PLEASE SHARE

I am looking for ANY info, tips and secrets regarding the Nokia 6620 that anyone would like to share.

I was just given an unlocked Nokia 6620, and my service is with T-Mobile. I didn't get a "lesson" on using this phone to it's full potential, and would really like to learn as much about all it's features. And I mean learning about the stuff users found out about the phone that the manual may not mention, like watching TV on it and loading games.

My last phone was a Nokia 8290, which I used till it practically fell apart 🙂, so you can see how much of a novice I am when it comes to a phone like the 6620. Some questions I have are:

How can I make the phone as compatible as possible with T-Mobile? (like accessing T-Zones and others ...
