Ringtones on 8125

I've got a few mp3's in my ringer drop-down menu, but there has to be an easier way to get em there. Right now I'm saving them on my memory card then, on the phone, I have to copy them from the card and paste them into
My Device >Windows > Rings. On top of all the pointing and clicking I think they are being saved to the phone. Can I make mp3's ringtones and have them only saved on the card?

"Many things spread elsewhere from there, rarely the other way round," Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo told a Finnish weekly magazine. Spectrum Banking: How the FCC Creates Scarcity

By Fred Goldstein
ionary Consulting

One of the common excuses for permitting the Bells to kick off their wholesale customers (ISPs and CLECs) is that it encourages them to construct alternative facilities, such as wireless systems. And a fair number of ISPs have “cut the cord”, or at least begun to roll out wireless.

But current spectrum management policies make this needlessly difficult. The FCC (News - Alert)’s priority seems to be to maximize its auction revenues, while protecting the largest cellular telephone providers and wireline incumbents from more than token competition.

bile-Phone Premium Content Market to Reach $40 billion by 2010

"Mobile-Phone Premium Content Market to Reach $40 billion by 2010

The global market for mobile-phone premium content, including music, gaming and video, is expected to expand to more than $43 billion by 2010, rising at a compound annual growth rate of 42.5 percent from $5.2 billion in 2004, iSuppli Corp. predicts.

"After years of hyper growth, mobile-phone markets in several major regions around the world are maturing, resulting in slower subscriber growth and declining Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for wireless communications carriers," said Mark Kirstein, vice president of multimedia services and content for iSuppli. "Meanwhile, new 3G networks offer increased bandwidth, but require compelling applications and content to drive reve...

LGVX9800 and USB cable

I work for a Verizon Wireless agent, and just had a customer call in and say that they were reading their 9800 manual, and that if they buy a USB cable, they can download pictures, ringtones, etc., to their computer.
I was reading something somewhere lately, I believe it was in one of the wireless magazines we get (that I unfortunately threw away!) that was saying something along the lines of Verizon lightening up on what they will allow customers to do with their phones.
I know about the stuff out there like bitpim, but that's not what I'm talking about here. Has anyone heard of a more "official" way?

Thanks!

Sony Ericsson W600i model

http://www.cellphonestalk.com/cellphonereviews/sonye ... »

is this really true, that you can't expand the memory of sony ericsson w600i further than 256mb?? damn that would really suck!

"The W600i comes with a whopping 256 megabytes of internal flash memory. This means you can store tons of MP3 songs, ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers and more on the phone. However one problem is the lack of memory expansion slots. This means you cannot add additional memory to the already 256mb of space. Thus if you exceed the 256mb memory limit, you will need to delete some files in order to make space. "

I have a LG8100 paired with a Motorola HS850 earpiece my problem is: When I have my phone connected to the charger in my truck I have trouble hearing the voice prompts approx. 90% of the time, however if I disconnect the charger, the Bluetooth and phone work perfectly well, obviously I know what the simple answer is, but I would like to know why this happens or if anybody else has a similar problem.

Jaw Bone Technology & Phone Compatibility

I am interested in using new technology to cut down on background noise since I do alot of my business from home and my kids are often making noise in the background. Because of the number of minutes we use between 8 and 5, I would like to stay with T-Mobile. Unfortunately, T-Mobile does not offer a phone that is compatible with this technology at the moment (I don't believe). Jaw bone only works with Motorola, Sony and Nokia--T-Mobile only sells Motorola and Nokia (and the Motorola and Nokia they sell does not have the M100 or N100 data ports required to work with jaw bone). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can find a phone with M100 or N100 data ports that can utilize the Jaw Bone technology so we can stay with T-Mobile?

Ericsson W600i Vs Nokia 6230 Vs something better

Hi

I use Nokia 6230 with Cingular

Cons:
- If I miss a call, it doesn't beep periodically
- Can't use the display in Sun
- Small screen

I also need 850 band - So I found Sony Ericsson W600i.

Would the Sony Ericsson W600i can do
- If I miss a call, it beeps periodically
- use the display in Sun

Anything else or any other phone, I should wait for?

Thanks

Emailing ringtones (Verizon)

I have the Motorola v325 and my son has the Motorola e815. It seems totally random whether or not I can email ringtones to the v325 - doesn't seem to correspond to whether or not the file is a MIDI, mp3, or anything else, or even how long the clip is! And I haven't been able to email any of them to my son's phone. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

U.S. home Internet adoption slowing

A study by Parks Associates revealed that home Internet adoption by Americans is slowing, with growth of only 3% predicted by 2009. According to the study, 42% of Americans have broadband access at home, while an additional 22% access the Internet at home via dial-up; another 13% of users access the Internet outside the home exclusively; and 23% do not use the Internet -- whether at home, at work or in a public library, Internet cafe or educational setting."
