VZW Treo 650 Can I get an answer

Some on this forum say never. Some say May 1.

Yesterday I hear from my boss that Sprint has an exclusive on CDMA Treo 650s forever.

I like VZW and have a contract, but I am getting frustrated with the GSM guys getting all the cool goodies.

SE Clara

Sony Ericsson's latest handset looks top notch. It is codenamed 'Clara', although it will be known as the K750i when it is officially released.

In addition to the usual SE specifications, Clara features:

2 MP camera with autofocus and x16 digital zoom
100 MB internal memory
Expandable memory; at least MS Duo support, possibly MS Duo Pro
262k colour screen (possibly with the same scratchproof coating that the S700 has)

Pictures of Clara can be found at the following web address:

Verizon Bluetooth Phone Options? Not Motorola V 710

Are there currently other reliable options out there I'm not aware of? Or do I just wait until 1 or 2 that are supposedly coming down the pipe show up?

Who is the Best?

Guess what? It is a matter of opinion. Consider this:
Nintendo, Xbox, and Playstation
GM, Dodge, and Ford
Coke, Pepsi, and 7up
Cingular, Verizon, and Sprextel.
Everyone has their own opinion, and likes different carriers for different reasons. I am personally tired of hearing the argument. 😈

Sprint Nextel primer (in case you didn't read their pr)

There seems to be an awful lot of confusion surrounding the integration plans of Sprint and Nextel in the coming year as their new company, Sprint Nextel, is created.

1.) Nextel uses iDen. iDen is more than an offshoot of TDMA, it is an offshoot of GSM. It uses SIM cards, although the underlying technology of Nextel is a MOOT POINT.

2.) With the approval of the Consensus Plan (for those of you not familiar with this, this is Nextel's plan to deal with the interference their spectrum holdings and the subsequent radio broadcasts in that spectrum by swapping their 800 mhz spectrum for spectrum in the 1900 mhz band) Nextel's iDen network is going to be phased out. Regardless of what was going to happen with Sprint, or Verizon, or Ja...

Nextel-Sprint Merge Question

Alright, i was going to post this on the other thread, but it was too long and i figured no one would look at it.

As of now, i could be wrong, but Nextel is on GSM. Sprint, as i no, is CDMA. Once this merge is complete, will all other GSM phones not be of any use or what?

I dont know if i can trust this merge. I guess we will just have to wait and see

Sony PSP...

I was reading the NY Times about the PSP and the
Sony president said something really interesting.
He hinted "that there are plans to morph the PSP and allow for mobile phone capabilities." 🙂

SPRINT Bluetooth Clamshell Phone?

Does anyone know/heard if Sprint will release a Bluetooth Clamshell phone?

The LG PM 3? is not my cup of tea and I don't want a convergence device (i.e. Treo). Any information would be helpful.

It is too bad we can't take a Verizon (yuk) phone and use it on a Sprint Network.

Thanks in advance for your information.

verizon push to talk

i noticed that verizon still has push to talk phones on the line for coming soon. I was wondering what the latest word is with verizon push to talk, especially now that nextel merged with sprint. Does anybody out know anything concrete about what to expect with new phones, service, and the quality along with the speed talk. Is there going to be a relaunch and if so when, Drew

Any Info on Verizon/i710 Class Action Lawsuit?

Does anyone have info on the class action law suit aginst Verizon noted in the 1/13/05 Wall Street Journal?

As you may know, Verizon has disabled much of the bluetooth functions in the i710 in order to sell airtime for transfering files or photos between your PC and the i710. I have a i710 and am pissed that I can't download my contact phone numbers from PC to phone. That's why I spent the bucks in the first place.

If anyone knows who I could contact about the lawsuit, please let me know. 😡

Are there any new Verizon phones coming out soon? I'd like to get a new one but if Motorola is launching the v65p or the v265 in the near future I'll wait.
