Cingular as of Jan 21st will slowly be moved over to the ATT name

all reps will now say "Thank you for calling cingular wireless the new AT&T"

they plan to assume the name ATT wireless is starting as of the 21st. tomorrow at 4pm we will know for sure as it will be inter company released that they will be releaseing a new plan called the "Unity" Plan as a part of drawing in more competetors customers the unity plan will allow all "Unity" Rate plan customers to call all bell south customers with unlimited calling much like the cingular TDMA jersy plan now a grandfather plan offering free calling for like 99.99

I heard a rummor that Verizon will buy Metro PCS somtime in March of this year. I have no way of conferming this rumor but if anyone else has any details please share the info.

Oh, and I believe it is introduced in CES2007.
The model# that is going to be released in Europe (UK) is called KE970.

As from what I heard, it is going to be released in 1st Q of this year in Europe, then Asia (probably in China and other places?), and US. MY GOSH HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COME HERE?!!!

Does anybody know how to make it so that you can create your own ringtones from quicktime or other files. I opened some of my fav songs from itunes in quicktime and trimmed the first 30 secs to be ringtone options and dropped them into the ringtone folder on my w810i when it was plugged into my comp. they are there but can not be set as ringtones or even played. I can do it for my older phone so I don't see why i shouldn't be able to do it for this newer one with better technology. Thanks for any help. J3N

Does anyone know if and when Cingular is coming out with the Krzr?

My 650 is about dead, and Verizon is giving me the run-around on timing for any new PDA phones. I didn't want the 700p (or W) due to the fact that those offer little upgrade from the 650. Does anyone know when something is coming?

I love this machine by the way. Two minutes to transfer 146 contacts, completely awesome. The problem I am having though is transferring multiple numbers from the same contact. When I am transferring a contact that has a cell, home, and work number, I am only getting the cell number to transfer. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

Ok I went to a verizon store the other day because i finally decided to buy myself a treo 700p. The gentlman i was dealing with told me i should just wait because in march of next year verizon is coming out with a new treo phone. I was just wondring if any 1 new if there was any truth to this rumor.

Suncom has been offering EDGE in the Charlotte area for some time, but only slow GPRS in South Carolina. Although EDGE requires only a minor facility upgrade, Suncom has shown no inclination that they're planning to do the upgrade in SC.

I talked with a Suncom store manager today and he said Suncom is planning to skip EDGE and go straight to faster 3G, but he said that was only a 'rumor.' He knew nothing more, but suggested that I call and speak to Data Services, which I did. I got someone who claimed to be in Data Services and refused to transfer me, but she didn't even know what EDGE was so she was obviously lying. She was probably told to block calls to Data Services (great customer service!).

Anyone heard about Sprint getting the Pearl? I heard this from a rep. I know I read somewhere that there was a CDMA version in the works, but I never thought... well yeah... anyone?

I read a few posts here about the possibility of a new Palm Treo model being released for use with Verizon Wireless in early 2007.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can look for additional information. When calling Palm, I was told the phone reps are not told about new releases until 6 weeks before launch.

😳 Say it ain't so people! I saw this in some guys phone review, he didn't sound all that bright based on his review so I'm sure its a lie, but has anyone else heard that Sanyo is going to stop making cell phones?

Does anyone know about any new phones coming out for verizon wireless? I was looking at the lg 8600 and the 8300 but was hoping that they would come out with something better. Looking for a simple phone but want it to have great batt life and great reception, good camera would be a plus. any info would be greatly appreciated!
