My issue with Flexpay......

I am really curious as to why (besides the no-contract) people would rather spend 150 that they will never get back on a phone and flexpay when they have an alternative of paying a 150 deposit that they will get back in a year and getting a similar if not better phone for free with contract.... I don't understand....

smoking ban in IL: good or bad?

as of 1/1/08, there is no smoking in IL for the most part, legislated by the wonderful gov't. too much intervention into private lives by gov't, mandating health by law, or accurate public safety concern?

TMI Monday!!!!!

Why do customers believe that they have to tell us everything about their lives???? I really don't care what you ate for dinner or when the last time you got laid was.... Additionally will you please bathe before you go out into public, no offense, but I can smell you coming from about a mile away and that is just bad!!!!!!!

Examples:

When other employees have to leave the main selling floor because they cannot breathe, that is a bad thing!!!

I really don't care that you just dropped a bomb in the bathroom at the chinese place because you have been on an all fruit diet and it keeps you regular, but you just ate Chinese food and it tore you up so you had to kill 3 little kids and a dog while you were in the bathroom from the stench...

Do customers not understand? (Rant)

I work in a customer care center and I just wish that only once a customer could put themselves in our shoes. We honestly start out here trying to help them and if they yell and scream and shout and curse, we are not wanting to help them because we have feelings too. I'm sorry you're phone broke, let me try to help you, oh wait, you're going to call me a name, I'll do everything to make sure that I can help you. Still yelling, okay, more yelling? Hey, I don't care. I'll fake like I do but I'm not going to put forth any effort to help you with your problem. I am just the same as you. I work to pay my bills and I still (after 2 years) am loyal to my company and if you put them down, I will have the same reaction if you put me down. I h...

If you are not a wireless employee, do not post here.

It's simple. Read the forum description.

"Discussion area for employees of wireless carriers, including retail and customer service."

If you are not an employee, you should not be in here posting period.

There are other forums on the site you can visit, and many of us haunt those forums to, so that we may help you there.

It's really not to hard to read, is it?

Blackberry Pearl 8100 Universal Password?

Hi all.

I screwed up, as you all have heard so often, and forgotten my phone lock password. Is there a universal password from AT&T or RIM for the 8100 Pearl that can unlock the phone for me? Also, in doing so, does it reset the password, or can it be used for a one-time unlock to use the phone?

Your help is desperately needed.

Thank you.

Ugh Old People

Normally I don't have a problem with old people. I usually love helping them out with their phones because they are so thankful after wards. But these two different ladies this morning sheesh.

The first lady came in around 11:00am and asked how to check her minutes on her phone. Sure no problem, but as soon as she got close to me I was about ready to throw up. She smelled of whiskey and cigarettes. The smell was over powering and I could barely help her. And of course she had more questions. Luckily she forgot most of them.

The second lady was worse. She comes walking up and says 'isn't there a tmobile upstairs?' I tell her that the cart upstairs in an authorized dealer. She says 'whats that?' I explain to her that they se...

Security Deposit Question and Story

I had a guy come in yesterday to migrate from Cell One and add a line. I migrated his line, but the new line came up with a $500 deposit. I thought for sure he'd tell me to forget it, but he just turned to his dad and offered to go half and half. The guy paid the $500 deposit AND $200 for phones. If you have bad credit, how can you afford a $500 deposit? Shouldn't you be paying off your debts?

Does AT&T have stricter credit check and deposit policies than other carriers?

I used to be a Cell One agent and we hardly ever had a credit check come back with a deposit higher that $125. Since the migration to AT&T, I have had over a dozen potential new customers come back with $750 deposits. Many of them have told me that Verizon was only ask...

I really hate this kind of stuff...

Articles all over the media about how to screw over Cell companies. Read this one : http://www.wikihow.com/Get-out-of-a-Cellular- Service-Contract

For those firewalled :

How to Get out of a Cellular Service Contract

In the U.S., it can be easier to end a marriage than to leave a loveless relationship with Verizon or T-Mobile. No, you don't have to move to SIM card swapping Europe. Try these guerrilla tactics to get out of your service contract. Steps

1. Find an alternative Having ammunition as to what contract you are going to switch to will give you confidence and strength to go through with the painful process of getting out of your contract.
2. Be a squeaky wheel. Say you want out because the service isn't up to par. ...

Verizon reps, help/advice please?

Hey guys I currently work for another wireless company but keep a personal line with Verizon, as my wife and family all have vzw so it makes sense.

Anyways I'm up for my 'new every 2' next Sunday and am looking for a new phone. I already have a smart phone as my work line, so I'm looking at a regular phone less than the pricetag of a Voyager or V9m...but want features like mp3, bluetooth, etc..so I don't want the cheapest phones. Also, I kind of live in the boonies so reception may make a difference.

I'm comparing phones online and I'm looking at the LG VX8700, lg Venus, Samsung Gleam, and Moto Rizr. I'm looking for your input! Also, I don't have time to make it into a retail store until the day of, and I know in-store prices are diffe...
