DST Systems, Inc. Announces Agreement to Merge lockline

KANSAS CITY, MO. (October 27, 2005) DST Systems, Inc. (NYSE: DST) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to merge its subsidiary lockline into Asurion Corporation, a privately held company, with principal operations in Nashville, Tennessee, in a tax free merger. As a result of the merger, DST will own approximately 35% of the combined Asurion/lockline organization. DST will receive no cash proceeds in connection with the agreement.

the story about Access moving away from PalmOS is gone. Regardless of whether or not the man who made the statements has retracted them, it is still newsworthy. It would seem even more newsworthy now that the statement was retracted. But it's not my website, and you guys know best.

Hey rich had a question, i know that you have phonescoop for the wap browser, but will you be adding access to the forums through that wap as well?

I think the lounge on this site should be eliminated. It really doesn't fit the professionalism of this site. There are a lot of disgusting hateful people on there. And although one enters the lounge of his own free will, I would hate for a younger child to read some of the horrible evil statements in there.

Guys, i've been coming here for a LONG time. I don't know how long i've been signed up but I have been selling cingular for 3 years. I used to be able to come here and get all the good scoops before my store did. Why is it that my collateral i'm getting in my store now, is more updated than anything on phonescoop. You don't even have the d307's on the new fcc approvals. Supposedly cingular has like 10 new phones dropping within two months and I can't find information about them anywhere, and if i do find a few tidbits of info, it certainly isin't here. C'mon guys. What's going on around here? I shouldn't know about things before you do! Cingular ptt launches next month, wheres the article on that? UTMS launches next month, W...

Awesome to see you got a hold of the t809 last night. I was excited about its potential when I mentioned it to you the other day but am thrilled to see you got more detailed +good form factor=the first carrier phone I've actaully wanted...maybe ever. Now, if it interaces well with a mac....

Hey what happened to reviewing cell phones for their reception quality/ RF sensitivity?

When I do a search for "excellent reception" you get some subjective user reviews (here and elsewhere) but no sites - no consistency

Is it that hard to stick a transmitter in a lab and measure various cell phones for their sensitivity (ie. research independent of user perception and specific location)?

If anyone knows of any sites that provide the info - p lease post?

If anyone can recommend a tri mode GSM phone (T-mobile) with excellent reception, speaker phone and decent battery life - this is all I want! Please post links to reviews of the phone.
