Hey, Rich. I'm an employee at AWS, and want to thank you for the information that you provide on your website. This one customer called in with a new Motorola 878 and wanted to know why it couldn't download ringtones. I Had /NO/ Idea what phone that was, and looked it up in Phonescoop, voila, there it was! I advised the customer why it won't work etc and all was good. 🙂

I work at a ATTWS Kiosk, inside the Oaks Mall, here in Gainesville, Fl.
I work with two other people a chick and a guy. I have to tell you, nobody around here likes or wants ATTWS. ATTWS can't eeven afford to advertise their product in the Gainesville Sun newspaper. I myself do not use ATTWS, because I know they s**k the b*g one.
Though Cingular will or may buy out ATTWS, why waste money buying a company when our employees know the company rots!
GSM coverage here is NOT good, most people seem to prefer CDMA.
By the way, the other two people I work with know the ship is "sinking" and we are looking for a life raft.

Evening. Has anyone had any problems with the new LG 1150 camera phone. I had a guy come in jst now to do a 30 day exchange, complaining of bad batter performance as well as weak audio, meaing he couldn't other party. I tried it and found it sounded better if I moved slightly, maybe just a "sweet spot" for a smaller speaker?

also- how about the Sam X426, had a few come back for poor RF quality. Customers bveing told by care reps that it is a defective phone? I thought I heard something about an over the air update or patch.

I have been in the VZ forum and there are several ways to get free tones for their phones - I have a Nokia phone with ATWS and I was wanting to find a loop hole for ring tones.

I currently use an LG1150 after having tried an LG4015. My company pays for ATT service so I need to stick with them. I also need to stay with GSM service in order to have digital coverage in certain areas of Indiana. My issue though is that in some areas the coverage is marginal. What phone or brand should give me the best call reception. I'd love to stay w/ a flip phone but reception is more important.

Just interviewed w/ ATTWS yesterday, hopefully if all goes well I will get the jobby. So long, it's been real. One thing, I don't like the phone's AWS has to offer, any word on a mega-pixel phone, w/ flash and Bluetooth. The V710 is nice and I waited a long dam time for a VZW phone I actually want.
Too late now, I'll take the trade off.

I'm going to university and need to choose between the GSM national and local plans. I've heard that a bunch of people keep their old phones, so I'd have to dial long distance to phone them even when they are in the same town.

Im a little confused with the ATT WS site and would like to know the difference between these two plans.

With the local would I have to pay long distance charges? If not, with the national I wouldn't?

And what's with the unlimited mobile to mobile minutes? Only free when I talk to someone else on ATT?

When ATTWS and Cingular finally get their ducks in a row (which will be when?...), what's the likelihood of us weary ATTWS customers getting access to the super-duper Cingular network and signal strength?

I ask because if it'll all happen soon, then I probably will not switch to Cingular. I would expect that they could set up the network access sharing issues behind the scenes and well in advance of actually doing the customer account switchovers and plan adjustments, etc.

i have a couple of questions about the at&t go phone service. i'm thinking about getting it because i don't want a contract with anyone anymore and it seems like the way to go because they have actual plans with unlimited nights/weekends and free home roaming. which is all i need because i don't travel anywhere. but what i wanted to know first was can i purchase a motorola v600 from at$t and use it on the go phone service or get a unlocked or used one and use the service? i want the v600 because i want mp3 tones and bluetooth for my laptop and pda.

also i used to work for cingular wireless and i know they acquired them recently but the merger hasn't completed yet. i wanted to know from anyone who can tell me if i get the go phone service ...

In the short time I had them - I never received ONE correct bill from them. They overcharged on everything! Had to spend hours and hours on the phone correcting the bill with them...
IMO - they are the worst of the bunch!!

Does anyone know if ATT will carry the 6230? If yes, do you know when?

A class action suit against ATT wireless will privde class members with nominal discounts on equipment and air time.
