Fair & Flexible? Not quite what they think

Here's the real deal:

According to Sprint, A customer with 800 minutes of usage saves $52.50 with Sprint

Cingular: $50/600 minutes, .40 per minute overage = 130.00

Sprint: $35/300 minutes, 500 minutes overage at .10/minute = 77.50

Sprint charges 77.50 for 800 minutes. Cingular offers 850 minutes for 59.99... savings of 17.51

Lets look at how they compare at each price point, based on monthly access charges:

Sprint: 39.99 - 350 minutes
49.99 - 450
59.99 - 550
79.99 - 850
99.99 - 1250
149.99 - 1965
199.99 - 2680
249.99 - 3395

Cingular: 39.99 - 450
49.99 - 600
59.99 - 850
79.99 - 1250
99.99 - 2000
149.99 - 3000
199.99 - 4000
249.99 - 6000

Finally, lets look at what Sprint REALLY charges for minutes under Fa...

I'm looking for a job!

I work for VZW right now. I'm moving to Oklahoma - we don't exist there. If you know of any openings in the Oklahoma City area or Tulsa area - I would appreciate your assistance.

From The Ground Up?

I just have to ask, because this has been perplexing me for some time. What benefit is there to a customer to having a network that's "built from the ground up" as opposed to one created over time from building up towers as well as the additions of others through mergers and acquisitions? I understand that Sprint can't claim the largest network without qualifying it with "all digital," "all PCS," and "built from the ground up." As an aside, I think it's the most specious advertising claim in wireless, but that's beside the point.

I want to know what the benefit to a customer is. I don't see any personally. It doesn't matter if you build them, acquire them through a merger or buyout, or sacrifice puppies to Cthulhu to get them. They ...

My First Sprint Experience

I work in a small office of only eight people but work for a very large company. Recently the company decided to leave AT&T Wireless and move to Sprint. The number porting began on Monday August 2nd, 2004. On Tuesday, six out of eight people had non-working phones. For some reason my phone and a fellow employees' phone were still working just fine on AT&T Wireless. Wednesday morning our new Sprint phones arrived in the mail. Everyone had a working phone with the exception of me and the other employee. By the end of the day, it was surmised that AT&T Wireless had decided NOT to port our two numbers for some reason. So the next day, Thursday, a request for another port goes through and is complete at 6:00PM Thursday night. So the port...

Using Roaming Minutes

I was told by a customer service rep that you can use all of your plan minutes in roaming if you have a fair and flexible plan or maybe it was a new kind of plan they offer. Last thing I knew you could use up to half of your anytime mins...does anyone know of a roaming plan that includes your plan mins.

Fair and Flexible Plan

Is the fair and flexible plan a good deal? I don't have sprint right now but if you roam off of the network, does your plan change if you use more off-network minutes?

SPRINT SUCKS!!!

I hope everyone who has sprint or is thinking of switching to sprint reads this:

I have been a loyal customer for 8 years, my contract ended about a year ago and have just continued along on my existing plan. My 2 year old phone barely works anymore.

So I called the customer service line- what will they give me, nadda, nothing but a crappy 150 mail in rebate, no more free phone, and any good phone sprint has will cost 150 after the rebate. Why after 8 years should I pay 150 for a dumb phone.

So then I get the supervisor on the phone, i ask, what will sprint do to keep me as a customer...his reponse? "Nothing more than we can do to keep a new customer."
Thanks for nothing jerkoff.

So then I go to the SPrint PCS store, i had a ni...

snap dialer

I have a Samsung A680 with Vision through Sprnit.
I'm thinking of getting a product called Snap Dialer through Futuredial. Has anyone on this forum used this product with Sprint?
I'm already paying for web access with Vision. Is this worthwhile, or should I just get a broadband account separately. I have a Toshiba notebook I intend to use it with, and it's WiFi capable. What are my options?

Sprint is awesome

😁 Anyone in the world can hate Sprint with the biggest passion they can muster... I love it, and i love working for a company who will be the underdog. . . other companies may be sitting pretty at the top, but I like that we are fighting hard and getting better. It's exciting to improve. once you're at the top it becomes too wobbly, and down is the most probable place to go. i really like a company with integrity who doesn't lie to their customers. sprint admits their mistakes and they are doing everything they can to correct them. i think that's a wonderful quality. i wish more people were supportive instead of always dogging them... they really aren't the company you remember. they have improved greatly in a very short time... and there'...
