i bought my 6131 unlocked. I've updated it from the Nokia site. I have version 6.10 on it right now.

Is anyone using .m3u playlists?

I can't get this to work. The .m3u file is in the same folder as the mp3's. It works that way on my Garmin, but not on the phone. Any Ideas?

I've not had any problem with mine yet. I just got a Plantronics Pulsar 260. It works really good with my 6131. Is there a firmware update available for the 6126? I did an update on mine when I got it, and A2DP is one of the things that was not supported by early firmware. I'd probably check that first.

Iuse iKlear also. It's a safe product for that use. Recommended by Apple for Laptops, iPods, and LCD Screens. Spray it on a microfiber cloth and just wipe off the skin oils and dirt.

Thanks!! I had already assigned that key to missed calls. but I still had the left navigation key still unnassigned, so I used that one. I had not scrolled far enough down the list of possible events for those shortcuts to find bluetooth menu in there.

I've been trying to figure out a way to make a simple one button shortcut to turn bluetooth on and another one to turn bluetooth off. I use my phone in the car and it would be much more convienient to make this change with just one push of a button. I'm stumped, I thought It could be done with two profiles, but that is not working for me. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I can't answer that question. Since it was a brand new phone I wanted to start out with the latest firmware. I upgraded it wihin 24 hours of receiving it. I have Cingular as my provider and everything is working as it should. But, I don't use the internet or text messaging on my phone.

I jut received my 6131 today. I used the nokia software updater and to update from 5.50 to 6.10. It worked perfectly. AFAIK there is very little difference in the electronics of the 6131 and 6133. 6133 is T-Mobile only model.

i can't say it's the best, but. I've used the Plantronics Discovery 640 And the Plantronics Voyager 510 The 510 has noise canceling built in so it is much better for use in a car. The person you are talking to will notice a difference in the background noise that is transmitted. So look for one with noise cancelling if you are planning to use it in a car or other noisy environment.

Hmmm, Since the 600 has been removed from their websitd the overstock must be not as great ass your guy says it is. But we lowly consumers must wait for Cingular to decide that they want to make money on this phone so we can have it.

That helps some, thanks. I use my cellphone with this device http://starcom1.com/ My current phone does not have bluetooth and I find it a PITA to plugin and unplug the phone all of the time. An auto answer feature that works very well is essential to function with the Starcom1. I'll need to add the bluetooth module to my Starcom1, but over the long run I think that will be worth the cost and installation effort Thanks for your response. I am ...

Thanks for the info! I am guessing this needs to be done via bluetooth connection? This is looking like the best phone for me. I just want a phone with bluetooth. I really don't care about the camera or games. I just want to be able to sync my phone book and use a bluetooth headset. I still wish there was something available without a camera, but considering the online price it doesn't matter. thanks, Again!

Hi, Does anyone have any experiences with online purchases from Cingular? I spoke with a representative in a Cingular store. She told me if I purchase online and I have a problem with the phone I will need to send it back. If I purchase in the store I can just stop by there and they will take care of it. So I am more inclined to buy from the store. However I've never had any problem with ...

Music player and Macintosh
Apr 22, 2006, 12:40 AM
in the Sony Ericsson W810 forum

The apple site lists that this phone can sync with the mac via iSync. Contacts, calendar, contact pics and to-do's. That's better support than Motorola's. So what about the music player? If mp3's are dragged and dropped onto the card are they recognized by the music player? How about playlists? Does the phone have a decent interface to configure playlists? Is there a way to manage playlists with a Macintosh?

I was looking at the motorola SLVR and the Cingular sales person told me they will have this phone before my contract expires at the end of April. I'll certainly give it a good look since it supports my computer better than the Motorola does.

I downloaded the manual, but could not find that info. what page is it on? I'd like to read their wording about it. I've looked at one of the phones. The included headset is a usb device. You sir are the one who is misquoting the references that you offer to this forum. I own a US patent and I know there is a huge difference in that and a trademark. A trademark may be used as the name of a patented device, but that is not a requirement to obtain a trademark.

GeeZ I think you need to take a course in reading accuracy and retention. "Rumors began flying abound when Apple registered the trademark “Mobile Me” last week." A Registered Trademark is a long way from a Patent Application. The link you provided has no credible information about what Apple will use the name "Mobile Me" for. It's all just speculation. Also the word patent is nowhere on the page that your link takes me to. Interesting information, but ...
