Re: The iphone is $199
Yeah, PC is great.. for email and surfing the web. Try running a real program on it like Pro Tools or Final Cut. There's a reason big production studios all use Macs. And as for playing games: grow up. Whatever dude. Windows is a weak ass OS susceptible to all kinds of headaches. I didn't say the iPhone is a status symbol of wealth. What I said was there is probably some hidden reason why you are so anti-iPhone. ...
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
Well, I just don't know how many times I have to say it until it finally registers in your brain. You're the one trying to make an argument out of a fact. AT&T doesn't work here. Now accept it and get over it.

Re: I must admit...
Tell ya what.. just to show I'm a nice guy, I'll let ya have sloppy seconds on some of the chicks I get just from owning and iPhone.
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
You don't know what you're talking about. I've had an iphone for the past 3 years. It is without a doubt the absolute best device ever put out. The Apple A4 processor is lighting fast. The OS is supremely smooth. Nothing comes even remotely close. 400,000+ apps is nothing to bark at. The graphics are superior to anything out there. The games, the productivity an tools are unsurpassable. Everything else is a cheap imitation. iPhone started it all. Apple ...
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
That's what people who can't afford an iPhone say.
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
Verizon works in my house. AT&T does not. What part of that are you not understanding? AT&T's service in Los Angeles is horrible.

Re: LETTER TO AT&T
"That's true for every other cell carrier as well, because most offer their own discounts and early upgrades. And as they roll out their own 4G networks and accumulate more smartphone subscribers. That perk-tightening comes on top of extra fees and higher early exit charges. Sprint, for example, already tacks on an extra $10 monthly surcharge for 4G-capable handsets. Carriers have also doubled their early termination fees, charging up to $350 for smartphones, as a way to recoup money ...
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
OK I'll call you from the roller coaster.. or rather I'll email you instead 'cuz I'm certain you'll just drop the call anyway.

Re: Iphone to Boost Mobile
As I mentioned earlier, I recently switched to Virgin Mobile temporarily until the iPhone comes out on Verizon. I've been without VVM for a month now and it totally sucks! lol. It's super annoying hearing messages the old school method of pressing numbers, waiting for commands and skipping through messages. I never though I'd miss VVM that much. It really does make life a lot easier. Even though I'm more of a text/email person, I realize now how many ...
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
Ok so they're both evil. I'll chose the one that can make calls.
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
I'm not sure what you're asking here. You're saying that the Verizon BB has better signal. I agree. AT&T sucks. Verizon is better.
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
Yeah but you can actually make calls on Verizon. I don't mind paying for something as long as it works.
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
LOL! Oh, OK.. I'll just take the AT&T employee's word for it. Riiiight. Like I said, I had AT&T before I had the iPhone and it sucked then too. My friend has an Android on AT&T and it drops calls constantly too. Your network blows, man. Plain and simple. You've been screwing people for years, even before cell phones back when you were Ma Bell... when you were convicted of being an evil monopoly. Party's over, buddy. I suggest ...
Re: LETTER TO AT&T
"Rollover minutes?" Apparently you still think it's 1998. Most people have unlimited plans today, so rollover minutes are useless. Actually, the prices are about the same with one key difference: YOU CAN ACTUALLY MAKE A CALL ON VERIZON. I will gladly trade in the ability to talk while surfing the web to be able to hold that call without dropping it any day.
The fact that AT&T sells what's called a "micro tower" for you house so ...
Re: Iphone to Boost Mobile
As with iPhones that are cracked to run on T-Mobile, you probably wont be able to get 3G. That and I'm sure visual voicemail with be unusable.
LETTER TO AT&T
Dear AT&T,
For years now you have ripped me off with your outrageous prices and shady business practices. You've taken thousands of dollars from me and in return provided me with a horrible product and service. I can't remember the last time I made a call without dropping it. Seriously, it's a vague memory. I've suffered through this because I am a huge fan of the iPhone. Understand that that you've basically made my life miserable for the past few ...
Re: NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM
LOL! I can't believe you actually wasted your time writing ALL that in a silly phone scoop forum. You're obviously just a right wing nut looking for any excuse to spew your politics. You're way off topic now, buddy. AT&T sucks. They should put it on Verizon. Period. There's nothing to argue there. Now go watch Glenn Beck, loser.
Re: NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM
Wow..Do you work for AT&T or something? Either that or if this was Star Wars you'd definitely be assembling aircrafts for the Death Star. Listen, I did not agree to being their customers based on a choice. There were no other options made available to me. It was a take it or leave it situation. And since I needed a good PDA I HAD to go with AT&T. Every cell carrier is the same. You want a particular ...
Re: NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM
You consider a corporate monopoly a step below perfection? I can understand the antenna issue. Shot happens. They fixed it. What I don't understand is forced to use a carrier that absolutely sucks. The number of iphone users who hat AT&T nearly all of them. It's a big issue. Even John Stewart ripped on it saying how that it's the greatest device ever but that "AT&T renders it' useless.. as a phone".
NOT GOING TO FIX THE PROBLEM
You can have the best antenna ever made in there and it's still not going to fix AT&T's suck ass service. Dude, seriously.. **** AT&T already. The iPhone's just not worth the nightmare of dropped calls I have to put up with daily. I swear if I ever see Steve Jobs I'm gonna bash his thick billionaire hippie skull against the wall of the nearest Verizon store until he ****in' gets it already.
WELL IT'S ABOUT TIME~
The world's best mobile device is currently on the world's worst service provider ever. I left Verizon to get an iphone and the reception is HORRIBLE. ATT sucks enormous monkey nuts. Verizon really dropped the ball back when they were offered the iphone first. Now it's time for both Apple an V to get it all right.
Re: Battery Life
Use wireless sync but stay away from PC monitor". Tech support will explain the difference. Also, remember that this is a Windows format device e which means you need to remember to end the tasks using Task Manager. Just Xing out of a program will not close fully it. Open programs draw the battery as well.
Also...
Also, in addition to the wireless sync issue, it's a known fact that CDMA format actually draws on the battery a bit more than GSM. I found this out when my gf and I had the same exact blackberry. However, she is with ATT and I am with Verizon. Her phone battery lasted a about 2 hours longer than mine. I did some extensive research and found that CDMA does actually cut your battery time by at least 5-10%. ...
Re: Battery Life
Are any of you using Verizon's Wireless Sync? I'm almost certain this is why some of you are experiencing low battery life while others are not. This program, especially the PC Monitor version where you have to download a program to your phone, draws HEAVILY battery life. I used to use it on my Moto Q back when and it literally cut the battery life in half or more. Other sync programs draw battery life just the same. Every ...
Re: Better than iPhone or Storm
LOL! Dude, you're right. I'm such a bad person. Thanks for pointing this out to me. Who am I to have an opinion on Phonescoop? I might as well go kill myself now. Thanks for showing me what a worthless maggot I am. Because of you, this world will now be free of one less fanboy ranter misrepresenting who misrepresents his experiences while presenting baseless opinion as fact. Thanks GOD for heros like you! Society owes you big time.
Re: Better than iPhone or Storm
Wow. You obviously have some serious anger issues. Do you have nothing better to do with your time than to post sh*tty comments to people on Phonescoop.com of all places? I mean, at least go find yourself a politics forum on Craigslist! This is MY opinion of the phones. That's what this forum is for. I've actually spent a good amount of time with both the iPhone and The Storm. All you need is about 30 minutes on a ...

Better than iPhone or Storm
This new Omnia i910 device actually surpasses both the iPhone and The Storm. Just do a side-by-side comparison of each and you will see the features. It's a Windows Mobile OS so it's more advanced. Also, you don;t have to pay the extra monthly Blackberry fee when syncing your phone via MS Exchange.
The iPhone is a let down. It has no actual talking GPS so it's basically useless when driving. It's no netter than Google Maps. The ...
CDMA = Verizon & Sprint
First of all, all the cool phones are GSM. Most of the other companies are GSM.
So big deal.. I can go to a Sprint store and buy another crappy phone that drains the battery fast and use it on Verizon's network but not get full customer service. (CDMA drains battery life 2x as fast as GSM) Oh, great joy.
Verizon phones and Sprint phone suck moose nuts. That new "awesome" Voyager.. not a full PDA, just a fun consumer ...
Re: No matter what!

Apple obviously wants to push Microsoft out of the picture. They want you to use Yahoo Mail so you can get free push without an exchange account. That's cool because Yahoo Mail Beta is an excellent online mail service that looks and acts almost exactly like Outlook, for free. One thing though for Mac owners, and I assume the want ...
Re: Maybe not
Aw come on, man. I was just kidding. I'm sure your wife's hot and she vacuums. I'm just saying, come June she's probably gonna leave you for a guy with an iPhone.
Re: Palm is the perfect name for these guys
This June, when the iPhone comes out, your life will change. When you own the iPhone, sunshine will glow from you behind and women will throw their panties at you. You will not only be able to make calls but you will also have the greatest ipod, photo and internet experience ever you. In fact, I'll bet if you put the iPhone on the floor it will vacuum your carpets for you. For women, it also becomes the world's ...
Palm is the perfect name for these guys
Every other qwerty out there now is a lot thinner. Why does Palm insist on lagging behind? They might as well call it the new Palm "Brick" because that's what it feels like in your pocket, 20% lighter or not. Is it so hard to slim this device down? If Motorola can do it why can't Palm? I would have bought this device a long time ago to sync with my Mac... if it didn't look like luggage. ...

Is there a better phone?
Maybe I am living in the dark ages here but I happen to think the iPhone is the coolest device I've ever seen. All these complaints have me confused. Is there a better phone out there, either here or in Europe or Asia? If so, please do tell and why. I am ever so curious to know what exists that blows away the iPhone.
Re: i320 to be used in USA?
The Moto Q is only available on CDMA (Verizon) thus far. I have the Q and even though it is ultra slim and nice there are a few disadvantages. 1. No cut and paste feature, which is a must for basic PDA functionality. 2. Can not be used as a modem for your laptop. 3. The so called "push" email is not real push like the blackberry. There's nothing instant about it. 4. Does not come with IM. Advantages: ...
