Can't send/download mms messages

I have a palm treo 750 running Mobile 6 Pro and my carrier is AT&T and I have the plan for mms and text messages but no internet on the phone. I cannot send or download mms messages. I went to the AT&T website and entered my device and did the whole manually edit the network configuration thing. when I would try to send it before, It would send me a text that said it could not send it and say that maybe I didn't have good connection(I did) and to make sure active sync was on (It was). But now that I have gone to the AT&T website and done what it says It will act like Its sending it and then after like 2 minutes I will get that text that I talked about earlier. If someone sends me a text and I try to download it does the same thing. I know no...

Touch screen quit working

My boss has a Palm Treo 750, and he says the touch screen has just quit working completely. This is difficult, since he is away on vacation but asked me to find out what he might be able to do to restore it. I don't have any other information.

Any tips or tricks he should try? Anyone else had that problem in the past?

Wrong Txt messages times

Has anyone experienced wrong times received when you get a txt message? I get times that are an our earlier then the time it currently is. Also when a new text comes in it is placed anywhere in my list of messages, it could be on top or bottom. the times are crazy, if i get txt at 8AM it will show 7AM and will be placed in the middle of my messages, not on top as you would think being a new message

Made by HTC?

According to this guy:

Treos are made by HTC. Am I a complete moron for being somewhat incredulous? Is that true? Anyone know for sure?

Treo 750 vs. Samsung BlackJack

I feel that all the Treo 750 has over the BlackJack is WM5 Pocket PC and a touchscreen. Does that outweigh the slim form factor (and current availability) of the BlackJack?

What do you guys think? I need some advice with this one...
And the BlackJack has bluetooth 2.0, but not the Treo...
As a Cingular warrant csr, I've only had one call about the 750, while I've had several on the Blackjack.
my main support for the blackjack is its size (quite portable) and as my name says, i can get it for free without hassle... the treo 750 is quite buggy and i'm not too thrilled with the palms...

Insert Wait in Contact

I just purchased Palm 750. I have ! to insert wait in international numbers so I can use my calling card. It actually works, but I don't see any prompt to hit something to dial the second stream of numbers.
Does anyone have an answer?

680 vs 75

Which is better????????????????????
It all depends what you prefer Palm OS or Windows, i prefer Windows, plus the 750 has some other new features, so i would go with the 750
I say: 750, as I used both. But you gotta figuer out if you like Palm's OS or if you like Window's OS better.

750 vs Blackjack (vs 8525)

I'm trying out a Blackjack right now for 30 days. Actually like it a lot.

But the 750 caught my eye. The only limitations I see on it (besides being twice the price of the BJ) are 240x240 screen (BJ is 320 x 240) and battery life - apparently it's really bad. It lacks a thumbwheel, but it is touchscreen. And it has the PocketPc version of WM5.0, instead of Smartphone edition. And has 850/1900/2100 WCDMA band instead of just 850/1900 on the BJ.

Blackjack is cheaper and slimmer. 320x240 screen. Battery life not great, but is it better than the Treo 750? Has Bluetooth 2.0 vs 1.2 on 750.

How is sound quality on the 750? I find sound quality and volume to be excellent on the Blackjack.

So basically my question is, do the PPC WM5.0, to...
I've had them both, and like both; but I like the 750 better because it's sturdier.

AT&T has stopped selling 750? Replacement out soon?

Does anyone know why AT&T has stopped selling the 750? I just downloaded the new MS software update, the phone works much better now. I was thinking about buying another one just as a backup but when I went by my local AT&T store today they told me they quit selling them?! So now I'm wondering if a new improved version of the 750 is going to be introduced soon?
They still show them for sale on at&t's website.

Umm, Verizon has the 700wx, which is Windows OS. As far as a new version, I don't know. You'll need to check the Verizon forum.

Unlocked 750 questions

I am currently I'm a T-mobile customer and I am just curious to know, if I purchase an unlocked 750v or a 750 from cingular unlocked will I still be able to use the internet and all other features and will the phone still work properly even though I'm using it on T-mobile. I've never used an unlocked PDA, if someone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

Yes you can. You just need to modify some data settings on the Treo to reflect Tmobile network settings. Thanks

T-Mobile web access

Good morning, was anyone able to access the web from an unlocked 750? I talked with T-Mobile and they were unable to help me access it. I have read a few threads from users that have confirmed that the web can be accessed, but I need some help setting it up if anyone has any info on how to do that since T-Mobile was unable to do so. Thanks.

Treo 750

It's like the perfect mix of the Treo 650 and the Motorola Q (I know that because I'm currently using both phones). I'd love to see a CDMA version of that phone.
except that this phone is far better than the Q because the Q only has smartphone version of WM5, which is worthless in my opinion. You can do far more with the 650 than with the Q.

WM6 Upgrade lost contacts

Hello all,

I just updated my WM5 to WM6 on my 750. I previously backed up all files with spb backup. When I tried to restore the files after upgrade, it trashed my installation. So then I reinstalled WM6 which was fine (without contacts) Then I unpacked my archive with Spb Backup Unpack to isolate the pim.vol and cemail.vol in the hopes that I could just drag the files back into the root directory. Doesn't work because the file format seems to be different between WM5 & WM6. There is some very techie advice out there using the MS emulator to try and read the files. I'm wondering can I revert my Palm to WM5 and then restore my contacts and then extract them differently with a pim contact utility and then reinstall WM6. Long question, thank...
I'm wondering if a hard reset would bring back WM5, I sorta doubt it but its worth a try? I did the upgrade last night, so far so good, my contact lists are not that extensive and since I switch phones frequently, I just keep them on my SIM card.

Home Screen with Icons

Does anyone know how to setup the home screen (WM6) so that the icons for starting a program appear across the top of the screen... as shown on the Microsoft windows mobile 6.0 website?

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/6/default.mspx »
I am not sure there is a way to do that with the Treo 750 as it uses WM Professional.. i think that line of icons across the top is only for WM for Smartphones.
That is how my old BlackJack's main screen looked.
I could be wrong, but I have not seen...

Stops Ringing or vibating

Has anyone had problems with this phone ringing or vibrating? I have to to a "reset" every day to keep it ringing or vibrating. The switch on top is always on and I have it setup to ring and vibrate at all times. But it quits each day.
On Today Screen, go to Menu/Preferences/Phone Setting...

"Set Ring Tones for incoming calls."

Set the Event: (Phone:Known Caller) or (Phone:Unknown Caller)

Then uncheck "Vibrate when Ringer Switch on"
For those who are still having problems with the ringer, the software update has just been release to fix this bug. I got an email from Palm about a week ago. Please go the Palm website for more info.
