So LG G2 or should I hold out for the Nexus 5?
Oct 9, 2013, 1:03 AM
in the LG G2 (GSM) forum

I can't really compare anything to the Nexus 5 since everything that's leaked is merely speculation but, the big selling point for me is the camera. 13mp sounds a lot better than 8mp. It's hard to go on just the camera alone though, we had this little Samsung phone from T-Mobile years ago and it only had an 8mp camera. It took better photos than our big digital camera ever did. I'm not to worried about not having the latest ...

If I understand your question correctly, you are looking for something that isn't there. The NS4G does not have an indicator led. Most notifications will be displayed as icons in the "notification" bar at the top of your screen. I hope that helps.

The phone is nice but, I can tell you from experience that the 800 MHz processor is a bit sluggish IMHO. I have a Vibrant and that thing is very smooth running and allot more user-friendly. I think the screen size is pretty nice, you have to remember that there are those of us who don't want to carry our flatscreens in our pockets. As far as the front facing camera thing, I don't know of anyone that has ...

Thanks for the tip. I'm not brave enough yet to ruin it by trying to take it apart. The hole looks pretty good and The "otterbox" case I have already has the cutout in the case as if there were a camera for this model. I downloaded a mirrir app. to see if the camera was installed and got this message: "An error occured while trying to open the Front Facing Camera. The camera preview could not be started. ...

I bought three used Samsung Vibrants off of Craigslist in the past month and I just noticed that the one I have been using looks allot like the GalaxyS 4G version. They all have the two "eyes" located to the left of the speaker but, the one I have been using has what appears to be a camera hole to the right just like the 4G. Is it possible that I bought a 4G phone? The software says that ...

I suppose it would depend on your Network coverage. I live in the Detroit area but, I am no where near the actual "4G" signal so I have to rely on "3G" speeds. As far as the "old software" comment, I totally agree with you on that. Why not offer everyone that wasted thier money on the Vibrant a FREE upgrade and exchange to the Galaxy 4G? They would pretty much be getting the same phone they had before. ...

The reason I ask is that I have bought a few used Vibrants on Craigslist and I have one that looks different than the rest. The "normal" ones all have the eyes on the left of the earpiece that turn the screen on when you pull your head away but, the "odd" one has what looks like a camera hole on the right of the earpiece. The other two do not have this. I haven't actually seen the new ...

I don't mind messing around a bit but, I am new to Android. I have been a loyal WinMo customer for years and finally converted. I just don't want to "brick" my phone doing something I don't totally understand. After figuring out the issue with the Kies update I'm pretty happy with FroYo so far. I haven't had any new issues with my music player freezing up since I free'd up some space but, I would like to be ...

I actually figured it all out and all three of my Vibrants are running Froyo 2.2 on them. I really didn't read the fine print on the update page. Turns out the mini-kies software is not compatible with 64bit Windows systems. I do have another question though. Are there different Samsung SGH-T959 models? Mine has the two dots to the left of the earpiece but, it also has what looks like a front camera hole on the right of ...

I just bought three used Vibrants. One has Froyo on it already and the other ones are still running Eclair. I kept one and gave one to my wife. I'm planning on selling the other one. I wanted to update them but, nothing seems to work. The TMo rep told me to get Kies, which I did but, it crashes everytime. I have the newest version of Samsung Studio and it says that the phone is unregistered and will ...

Yes, EBT or Electronic Benefits Transfer is for Food and Cash assistanace. The one card can be used for both purposes. I live in Michigan and I was laid off for a while which is why I know so much about it. I just don't think it's fair to say that they are using "foodstamps" to pay their bills when they are not. My family received "Food Stamps" but not cash assistance so we would not be able to ...

I didn't think I would have tp clarify this topic but, EBT is for food and cash assistance. The state does not monitor what the cash assistance is spent on. Usually, it's taken off the card via ATM. It can then be used for anything, including paying your Sprint bill. I think this is wrong. If your are truly in need of this service, you have more important things to buy other than cellphones. They have a government program ...

They probably should have left Nextel alone and chose to invest in themselves instead. When I had them some ten years ago, they would always double bill me each month even after I could show that I had paid the last months bill. Their customer service is their downfall. I wanted to clarify that "Food Stamps" aren't actually being accepted but, rather "EBT" payments.

I would have to look at the stats. to verify but, your kinda wasting your time with this 3G phone. I believe TMo and AT&T's 3G services are on different Bandwiths so the best you could do would be the "EDGE" Network. I would sell the phone and try an find a used one branded for Tmo. so you could at least take advantage of the faster speeds.

I recently purchased a Touch Pro 2 but, I'm coming from an unlocked Storm that I have been using on the TMo Network. I didn't think that I would like a Blackberry so much, I have always been a WinMo user. This is an "in my opinion" post. I do not mean to offend any die hard users out there. I have had a contact with every carrier except Verizon. I never went over to Verizon mainly because of pricing. I started with Sprint(from Radio Shack)and found the customer service to be confusing and billing was a nightmare. Tried AT&T(Then Cingular) They didn't have the great phones they have now but, their Network was strong and prices were still good. ...

That's why it makes no sense. If your extending it, then your still a customer. Your not really "cancelling" anything. So $200 or more, depending on how many lines you have, is going into someones pocket for nothing. T-Mo is not the only company to do things like this. All carriers, and companies for that matter, do it. My BANK tries to charge me NSF fees all the time. The most recent was for a transaction that hadn't even ...

If you are an existing customer you'll have to simply "upgrade" your plan to an "Even More" plan or the "Even More +" plan and simply finance the phone over a 24 month period. That's what I was offered when I called to inquire about changing my plan. I wouldn't pay that much for a cell phone unless it did a lot more to simplify my life. It's just a matter of preference and conveinence, which you'll always pay ...

As far as 3G goes, only VZW customers will get 3G coverage. The phone does not support the 3G bandwiths that TMo and ATT use. My problem is keeping the "EDGE" Network consistently. It seems to go in and out all the time. I thought I was just being paranoid about TMo messing with the Network because I didn't buy their phones, it's good to hear it from someone else. Thanks DragonBuster. I picked up the phone on Monday and have been on "Crackberry" ever since. Took me almost 6 hours between T-Mobile and RIM just to get the phone working. The coverage is still spotty in my area, which is weird. My wife has a T-Mobile branded phone and she will have excellent coverage and even 3G but, I can't even get on the "EDGE" Network. I bought an unlocked one this morning. Voice Network worked as soon as I put my sim in but, NO web capabilities. Tmo reps said yesterday(Sunday) that it was just a simple call to Techs to activate the phone. I started at 3:30pm Monday Jan 4th and it is now 8:30pm with NO resolution in sight. If I were an NFL player, cost would not be an issue for me. I love T-Mobile and have been a customer for almost 4 years with NO real gripes. It just seems unfair to charge your customers more for nothing. The plans haven't really changed from what they were a year ago besides the name and cost. I only pay it because there in no cheaper alternative other than "Metro" whose service sucks in my area right now.

I agree with PACWEST. I have gripes but, I stay with T-Mo because there plans are still chaeper than everyone elses. Last year(2008) I had a Family talk plan w/1000 minutes and Internet for what I think was $5-$10 for under $100 a month.
