So in your opinions what are the best custom ROMs for this device?

I know of Energy and the other good ROMS on Xda like the 'Cookie' home tab I'm just trying to find the least buggy and currently I do not have the device to test each ROM on at the moment.

CDMA version much better than GSM

Finally Verizon gets a hands down better HTC WinMobile Phone than Tmobile or ATT. LAst year Verizon fans suffered with the brick-like touch pro. But today Verizon fans around the world rejoice! Why? Cause the Touch Pro on Verizon is much sexier than the GSM version (rounded out the edges for styling and grip). And the best feature of all is 3.5mm stereo headphone jack.! HAH! Take that GSM losers. I know you will all praise stereo bluetooth, but to be honest I treid one of those Motorla S9's for a while on my Omnia and was disappointed. I always have to charge the dam headphone (not like I need more things to charge in house/car/vacation). And I was limitied in selection of bulky bluetooth headsets. With a cord, I get a better selection of he...

Keeps freezing,,,,help

My daughter has the Tilt 2 and it seems to constantly freeze. She can be doing something and the phone does not respond. Has anyone had any similar issues that sound like this? If so, what can we do to resolve the problem. She's about to throw it at the wall.

Can anyone reccommend any APPS?

I recently purchased a Touch Pro 2 but, I'm coming from an unlocked Storm that I have been using on the TMo Network. I didn't think that I would like a Blackberry so much, I have always been a WinMo user. Anyway, on my Blackberry there was an App called Poynt that you could use to search locally in your GPS area for Restaurants, Gas Stations, People Ect. If needed you could add this information into your contacts list. Does anyone know of an app. that will function like Poynt for a WinMo phone?
In reguards to the Touch Pro. I have only had it for about a week and it's taking some time to get used to. It's not the WinMo I was used to using and the HTC Sense platform is a little awkward to me. Overall, it does what it is supposed to though.

ROM update

Ok, so i did the ROM update on the phone yesterday, which is sweet btw. There were some features that were added to the phone, some of the "known issues" that were fixed and all in all a very pleasant experience. The only problem I have is...a minor problem that is more of an annoyance. There was a ringtone that came with the phone (Windows mobile) or something like that. It has been erased, and i can't get it back. There is another one there that has a similar name, but the ringtone is not even close. If anyone has any advice on where to find that again (I know i am shooting in the dark here) that would be great. Otherwise, ignore my ranting and whining, lol.

GPS is fun

I use my TP2 for GPS apps all of the time and it works fantastic. Although it does not have the ability to be used as a compass, a magnetometer, it is awesome for geocaching. I highly recommend using GCzII, but you'll need a data plan. Geocaching is fun and using your phone is a real bonus. Get on board and use your TP2 for everything it's got. I do. 😁

Tilt 2 sent text

The other day my Tilt 2 stopped making the noise it makes after a text message is sent. The notification still displays at the bottom say "message sent" or whatever it says, but no sound. All other sounds and notifications work properly. How do I fix this? Notifications options do not allow customization of text, only MMS. Thanks

T-Mobile v. Sprint

ok, so T-Mobile has me fuming. My old MDN, bless its heart, had broke recently. There may be the option of turning in my old smartphone for $100 credit . so that I can get $100 off of the retail price of the TP2 retailed at around $550.00. There is the option with my plan to buy it today at $190 plus $19 added to every month for 20 months. so that I will still pay the FULL RETAIL PRICE OF THE PHONE... with less than 1.5G coverage in data..

lets move to Sprint. I can open a new account and get the same phone CDMA for $599.99retail, $-100 mail in rebate, $-150 new customer two year service agreement. So that in all i pay $349.99 for the phone THATS more than $100 CHEAPER... and this includes the FULL 3g coverage data.

from my understand...

Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade

The TP2 uses WM 6.1, (which is great btw contrary to what you might have heard) however; you can upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5.

Where can this downloadable upgrade be found?

Has anyone upgraded to WM 6.5?

Does it change the TouchFlo 3D operating system? Hopefully not cuz its tight.

AT&T's bloatware

Did everyone stop using this phone or something? Anyway, found a quick and easy way to get all that crappy bloatware off your phone (or Start Menu at least). Go to the File Explorer into the Windows folder. Select Start Menu, Programs, then Delete any unwanted programs from here. Ignore the Sys.File prompt and Yes to all. Cleans up your Start Menu nicely. Cheers

The Alarm System is driving me nuts!!

dont get me wrong, i love this phone but i used to own a dash and i could make the alarm ring at any ringtone i wanted and pick the amount of time i wanted it to snooze.....so when the pro 2 came out and its made by htc i said to myself..."get it, u like the dash so an upgrade would be just as fabulous".......as fabulous as it is the only thing that is annoying me is that i cant seem to add any ringtones to the alarm system, it only allows me to choose from the already preset rings..........PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO CHANGE THIS LET ME KNOW!.....that and the **** only snoozes for 10 min, i cant snooze for the hr like i used to on my dash...*tear* *tear*

ps: i even tried file exploring the windows system and pasting my desired...

If you own a Touch Pro2 or Tilt 2

purchase a skin shield for your device. Skinomi or Zagg invisishield etc whichever,
i was extremely careful handling my tp2 for several months, it ruined my quality of life trying to keep this phone scratch proof.

now i got a skin shield, its protected, no difficulty with the resistive screen performance, i can handle it more freely, its not a worry.
