BlackBerry Storm 9530
I have a few Storm 1 questions on the TMo Network
I don't have the phone in hand as of yet but, have already called TMo to make the changes needed to my plan. I'm not a BB user and most of my phones have been older Windows based phones. I will probably get the Touch Pro2 later in the year when price comes down. I just wanted to know if anyone could pass along any tips and or tricks to help me along the learning process. Biggest concern is the OS. I have read the forum and seen that there are many "glitches" in firmware updates and wanted to know if anyone knew how a TMo customer could get ahold of firmware updates? Also, any software recommendations would be appreciated as well. What works well with this phone?

Thanks DragonBuster. I picked up the phone on Monday and have been on "Crackberry" ever since. Took me almost 6 hours between T-Mobile and RIM just to get the phone working. The coverage is still spotty in my area, which is weird. My wife has a T-Mobile branded phone and she will have excellent coverage and even 3G but, I can't even get on the "EDGE" Network. I don't know if that has something to do with T-Mobile or the facr that I am trying to use an "unlocked" phone. I ran an update and reset the Network per a forum on Crackberry and coverage seems a little bit better but, I can't seem to improve my Network Coverage. I want to update the firmware to 5.0 but, that seems to be hit or miss depending on the user. Most say that Radio version .9...

I JUST SETUP A 9530 WITH TMOB AND IT WORKS GOOD
ONLY ON EDGE BUT IT WAS EASY I HAD IT UNLOCKED WITH A CODE FROM UNLOCK CELLS OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT FOR 19.99 THAT GAVE ME VOICE AND edge THEN I CALED TMO BB SUPPORT AND WITH THE HELP OF A VERY NICE PLAIN ENGLISH SPEAKING LADY AND 45 MINS I HAVE FULL FUNCTIONALITY ON T MOBILE
