Re: Oops
This is a non-starter for T-Mobile. Why pay a grand for a phone that won't support the full spectrum of service provided by a carrier?
Re: No Band 71/ 600 Mhz Support
This is a show stopper for me.
Re: I love tmobile
I try to love them, but the overall performance is just not there. While they have great plans and fast LTE, for a carrier it is all about COVERAGE. Their plans, speeds and features are useless if your cannot get a signal.
Re: Interesting but not for me
I think this is a bridge too far for Amazon. This may appeal to a niche market, but I can't envision enough sales to justify the investment. Phone geeks will want something close to pure Android as possible, iOS people will stick with iPhone, this seems to be the worst of all worlds. The phone displays "E" when it is in an EDGE enabled area ("G" when it is in a regular old GPRS area). The performance is impressive.
Other issues: Voice Recognition is a disaster, battery life is less than desireable, why change the size of the power ...
Re: Go Phone Question
I have done just that. I bought an unlocked V600 in Singapore (used in on T-Mobile for a while - poor coverage in Upstate NY) and got go-phone service (a SIM) from ATTWS. No hassles, it works fine. mMode and MMS service set up via OTA programming. It costs a little more than a post paid plan, but not too bad. Nights start at 9, but only for a plan that runs $60 per month. Now go-phone is a ...
