I really like my Krave. I have updated the software twice and finally it has speed dial. If you get the USB cord you can download directly from Motorola. The sound quality is great. I sold my old LG Chocolate 3 on Ebay to get this phone. I have had 3 LG phones and have hated them all. They do not come close to Motorola for sound quality.

I am not sure about OTA or in the store. I did it directly from http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/motosupp ort/source/softwareupdateselect.asp?country=U SA&language=ENS using a USB cable. Worked great, took about 10 minutes. New version is BLAZE1_01.28.02P.

Update available through Motorola MSU. Adds speed dial and changes the layout of the keyboards to make them easier to use.
Internet Price
I added the VCast $15 a month package when I bought the phone. After using it a little I am wondering if it would be cheaper to pay by the mb ($1.99). What are most people doing? I only plan on using it for checking Yahoo email and occasional browsing. I don't use text messaging or the mobile email feature. Thanks.

Not worth the money. Does not fit, smudges worse than the phone, looks cheap and makes a slim phone bulky. I recommend the all plastic one they sell in smoke. They are a good company, fast shipping.

Their plastic cases are nice. They fit great and look nice. I removed the swivel belt clip. The only problem with the plastic one is that it scratches. I am going to order one of these to see if it lasts longer.
Call Volume
I am trying to lower the call volume on my KRZR. If I set it to low it is no softer than high. I have it set to ring and vibrate at the same time. This is major pain; my coworkers are tire of hearing my phone. Is this a bug with the Verizon software, my phone or the KRZR? It also has a tendency to freeze when adjusting the volume, it will hang ...

Got it, just turn on the backlight. Now I have gotten used to just hitting an external button to ativate the clock. I will leave it off to save the battery.
External Display
Is there a way to have the external display dim but stay on? I like having the time availible without having to open the phone or hit a button. I figure it is a power save feature and it does look cool when it goes all black but....

I just started with a new organization and we use Verizon for everything. I went to the Verizon site, entered my address and it said I qualified for the discount. I see in other posts that I can get the discount in stores. My question is what is the normal discount or does it depend on the organization. The face is easily scratched. I am on my second set of phones. The problem I am finding is with hinge. When you open and close it there is a slight grinding feel. They replaced them and the new ones have the same feel. I guess it is design issue.

Try the V265 I think you will be impressed by the reception and battery life.

I just traded up from 2 LG 4400s to 2 V265s and very happy with my decision. The Motorola has a much better reception and the battery last a long time. I would stick with the Motorola line for these factors alone. Hope that helps.
