How does it hold up?

I have had an LG VX4400B for about a year and I am looking for a new phone. It's a great phone but I'm looking for something new. It has lots of scratches on the battery and the paint is coming off on the bottom. The Verizon logo on the front is even gone. But anyway, How does this phone hold up to the wear and tear of everyday use? It looks kind of, for lack of a better word, "plasticky". Thanks. 😁

The face is easily scratched. I am on my second set of phones. The problem I am finding is with hinge. When you open and close it there is a slight grinding feel. They replaced them and the new ones have the same feel. I guess it is design issue.
