IF your lucky you might be able to go 48 hours without having to pay the deposit. But since the deposit is required at time of activation you should not be able to leave the store without paying it first. I have seen phones shut off within hours of activation due to the deposit not being paid. GOOD LUCK :D

The phone is not out to the general public. (YET) There are a few privileged people who got this phone a little early. From what I have been told most Sprint PCS stores have ordered these phones and should see them within the months end. There has not been an official release date yet, so your local store may have them in stock, but can not sell one to you until the release date. Patience is all ...

Re: Programming This phone?

This phone cannot be programmed on Alltel network. Sanyo makes phones for Sprint PCS network only. The reason the reps at Alltel dont know how to reprogram the phone is because only Sanyo can reprogram a phone for a differnt network. And since Sanyo have an agreement with Sprint I dont see them throwing that away to reprogram one phone for such a small wireless company.

:D Does anyone else think thats its about time we see satellite radio built into a Sanyo phone? Now that would make for some top of the line phones!

This depends on who you want to have as your service provider. The phones appear to have the same features. The big factor, do you want Verizon(LG) or do you want Sprint (Sanyo)? Neither of these phones will work on the others network. So its up to you.

You can also try www.3gupload.com. Just remember that if you download anything from any other web site other that Sprintpcs.com you are voiding your warranty on your phone. Some other web sites can have damaging ringers, screen savers, ect..

Good info. The one thing you forgot to mention is the fact that if that phones ESN is not in Sprints inventory then they wont be able to activate it. It will show up in P2K as an unfound ESN and someone will get stuck with a non activatable $600 phone. Good luck for those of you who are even thinking about buying this phone. If you do decide ...
