My phone got wet and everything works except for the battery. Does anyone know where to get one for a cheaper price than the one in the Sprint stores?

yeah that is smart go out and buy the cheepest packege of acid you can find and hold it upto oyur face 🙄

good rule of thumb only buy the oem battery 3rd partty batteries have been know to explode. in fact one sprint store burned down as a result of it. and in atleast one other case a boy suffered battery burns to the face. as a result all sprint stores have been given orders not to charge or test any non oem batteries

You probably could find one at a third party store for around that but as the one guy said, don't trust them. It is better to spend a little more on a battery that will not explode. The batteries at the sprint store are made especially for your phone. Call *222 from your phone. That is the sprint accessory hotline. They might have a standard battery that may be cheaper. Please take our advice, for your saftey.

I have sold Sprint batteries AND 3rd Party batteries for years and have never ever had a case of or heard first hand of any case of "exploding batteries". What makes you think that a "Sprint" battery is manufactured any differently, or even in a different factory? My experience tells me that the biggest difference in the two batteries is PRICE. Sprint loves you to death for convincing people to pay 2 to 3 times as much and thereby providing them with 500% Gross Margin and up.

Yes, Sprint batteries are way overpriced... However, a generic battery DID burn down a Sprint store. I'd say stick to a major 3rd battery company like Magnadyne, no cheaper...

when you get the battery you need. I would add insurance just in case since you did wet it. Chances are, and I have seen this plenty of times is that the phone will stop working or something on the phone will stop or act up later on down the road. its better to add it now then to find out you cant hit the ok button or you phone wont turn on any more.
