Applications

Does one need to setup like an access point on this phone to use applications which need internet access? I want to use an IM but the application does not want to connect. 😕

Is anyone having problems with this phone?

I have heard that many people are having problems with this phone. What kinds of problems are happening with these phones? I've been warned not to buy this phone. Is this true, should I not buy this phone?

Is MM-7400 the Blowout phone?

Sprint product placement has had its effect on me. Is the red phone that "Blowout" reality show star Jonathan Antin uses all the time the Sanyo MM-7400? The MM-7400 is able to convert to metallic red, and it is a multi-media phone, which is what Jonathan Antin has.
I am ever so curious! (Antin once mentioned being able to "watch tv" on the phone and that grabbed my interest.)

Advanced/Expert Settings??

I am wondering if there is any special menu you can access with this phone or even by using a USB data transfer cable to edit/modify phone settings? A few settings I would like to adjust would be:
- the memo feature to allow a maximum of 72 seconds instead of 18.
-Video recording to allow in high quality instead of 15 seconds and able to store X amount of video clips, instead allow one long video clip (X*15)
-changing default text entry from abc to t9 (hate it when I try to have an AIM conversation, every time I get a new IM I have to change back to T9 even if I last used T9)
-ability to have ring and vibrate at any loudness, not just quietest and loudest ( would like a ring of 2 and vib, currently not possible(1 is just too quiet))
-...

MobileAction MA8512P, awesome for MM7400!!!

I get this data transfer suite as a gift from my friends,it's a birthday gift! 🙂
I am so surprised this cable and software can do so much more for my phone! What does this software and cable do:
Phonebook data management
Calenday Sync with outlook and outlook express
ringers and images composer, setup to dial up to Internet, and also the cable charges the phone! The quality for this data transfer suite is really nice! You guys should buy one for yourself if you also own a Sanyo MM7400!

Anyone else having hinge problems?

I have owned a 7400 since christmas time, and it has performed very well for me...except. The case surrounding the hinge on the right side of the phone has cracked. The phone has not been abused or the flip over extended, i think it just may be a poor design. The phone is supposed to be rugged, I would think that it could hold up to everyday use. If anyone else is having this problem, please post about it, I am making a concious effort to get this issue turned into a known defect, if that is the case.

QWEST EMPLOYEE REVIEW OF SANYO 7400

The SANYO 7400 IS BY THE FAR THE BEST PHONE QWEST HAS EVER CAME OUT WITH IN WIRELESS PHONES! I have used the Kyocera KE414, Kyocera Energi, Nokia 6225, and now the Sanyo 7400. The Kyocera's are OK, the Nokia 6225 has high quality, and the Sanyo 7400 is excellent in so many ways. The picture quality in this phone exceeds all camera phones I have ever used so far, not just the ones made by Qwest. The video camcorder has VERY high quality and digital imaging and is not blurry at all even when the phone is waved during recording. Ever since we have joined with Sprint, we have been able to offer more to customers, including a larger coverage area and bigger calling networks.

I didn't think the speaker in the Sanyo 7400 would be all that great...

Where can i get ringtones? (sanyo mm7400)

😕 I wanna know where can i get free ringtones other than 3gforfee (they sound low on my phone) without using the data cable. Also, through the use of the data cable can i get ringtones for my phone for free and where?

The free part is very important, im kinda poor, i cant afford to pay for ringtones.

Ringer Volume Question??

How loud is the ringer volume on the 7400? I have the sanyo 8200 and the ringer volume stinks. Sometimes I can't hear it when it is in my pocket. I want a phone that can be heard 2 rooms away. Is this phone loud or what?

limit on ringtones?

I was wondering if anyone has ran into a limit on the amount of ringtones the Sanyo 7400 can have that isn't size related. I know the LG 535 limit is based on the number or ringtones and not the space they take up. which is quite annoying and I have about a week left on the return policy so I'm in a crunch to figure out if I want to deal with it or try another phone.
