Re: New Process for Agents when they call customer service
Mar 15, 2006, 10:25 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

From what I understand, this new rule was most likely started due to past situations. I have heard of different occasions when agents reps were calling in for customers that were not present in the store. Now I know from experience that sometimes the reps have the customer's consent and the customer may not be there because of something simple like they had to step out of the store for a moment.(I mean, sometimes the hold times can be ...

Yes, US Cellular pays very, very well. Especially if you are in sales. The commission opportunities are great. Plus their benefits are completely awesome and its a lot of fun. I would definitely apply if I were you!

Nice, however, I have not heard of this phone entering any of its final testing, so it probably won't be out in January like an earlier poster stated.

Yes, the Motorola V323 should be in the middle or near the end of its Friendly User Testing, which means most likely, it will shipped to the stores within the next couple of weeks.

wow, that sounds great. I figured the HIP would be one of the busy spots. Well, I am updating my resume now and will be sending it out asap. I will apply everywhere I can and see where it takes me. So if you can say, what kind of benefits does T Mobile offer? For example, vacation days, insurance, etc, And by the way, thank you so much for this info. You have been a great help to me. ...

yea, that's when you either get lucky or they screw you by sending some older, ugly model. I had a customer who had one of their phones replaced with an Auidovox 9500. She had an LG 4400 before.

Yea, its about $10/mo higher than it should be if they want it to be competitive. T Mobile's is $20 cheaper a month, but it doesn't include all of the same stuff in the package. But not $20s worth. I'm not too sure how much VZW charges for BB use, but I've heard its kind of pricey.

Apply at every location? I never though of doing it that way, but that's a great idea. I am in the Chicago market too, and I am really looking to get in at a fast paced store. I am a very agressive seller and a hard worker. I want to work somewhere that makes money! (of course lol) So how long was the hiring process for you? And I don't want to ask you directly how much you ...

I was just wondering if anyone can give me some honest feedback on how difficult it is to get a job as a T Mobile sales rep. Can you also give me an approximate starting salary. I have between 1-2 years experience if that helps. I am interested in possibly working for T Mobile. I have heard good things about the way they treat employees, such as pay, benefits, and hours. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks. :)

Nov 26, 2005, 11:24 AM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

Yes, you can get a new phone at any time, but if its before 18 or 20 months (depends on market.), you will have to pay full retail price for the phone you want. You can also purchase a used phone which is usually 50% off of the retail price. At the 18/20 month point, you can renew your contract and get the phone at the subsidized pricing. You can now renew your contract at any point in time ...

There is no way to get a different phone from Signal. There is nothing you can do to get a Nokia 6255i from them unless you already had one. Signal Insurance is exactly that...insurance!! :) They cover only the phone you have currently. The only time you may possible get a different model phone, is if the model you have is discontinued and they no longer have any in stock at their warehouse. Then, they still do ...

The 6255i is already out, why the complaints?
Nov 18, 2005, 8:46 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

The Nokia 6255i is already in some stores. I'm not sure if its only agent locations or what, but we already got them in. Some yesterday, some today. The must only be corporate that has to wait until next week. That's weird. But for those of you that just can't wait, it already out!!! :D Plus, its also available on uscc's website is most markets.

That's not true about the Nokia failing testing. It PASSED all uscc testing last week. So look for it sooner than later. You don't have to believe me, but I really don't care. Just know that it did not fail testing. :D

No, the 6255i for Uscc will be the silver one with the bottom half of the front cover in navy blue. It looks nice. I have seen it several times. And they are about ready to go. Only a few more weeks to wait...trust me.

What were the problems with the 8410? I hardly ever had a customer complain about that phone. The 6100 itself didnt get recalled for defects, it was the EE service, not the phone. And as far as the 5550 goes, that was for the most part a pretty solid phone, the situation where a batch got recalled wasn't until more than a year after the phone had been out. To me those phones you named are not at all ...

Those phones on the rebate are phones soon to come out for USCC in the next few months. That's why they are on there. USCC is launching their own PTT service in the summer, that's the reason for the PTT Kyocera. Trust me, USCC is not for sale anytime in the near future. Believe it when everyone tells you! :)

the time will probably change if you power the phone off and then back on. The speaker phone you can use by holding down the "ok" button while in a call and then pressing the left smart key for "yes".

Re: Agent or Corporate Store?
Mar 26, 2005, 12:50 PM

Yea, I don't see why they don't give us access to CARES either. It would save the customers, the agents, prc, customer service, and in some cases, the retail stores, a lot of hassle and extra time that wouldn't be necessary if we could do more things ourselves.

Re: Agent or Corporate Store?
Mar 26, 2005, 12:16 PM

I guess there are ups and downs to both. I work for an agent and I feel that I'm not as rushed as I probably would be at a corporate store because its not usually as busy on a consistent basis. But I would like to try working for a corporate store for the benefit for the customer and I. :D I'm sure there are more benefits and more pay than an agent, even though I think ...

Re: End of Contract/# Porting Question
Mar 21, 2005, 9:34 PM
in the Sprint forum

If you port your number before your contract is offically up, they will automatically charge the cancellation fee, because once your port your # you have cancelled with Sprint. So you should get a temporary # in the meantime and ask them if they could port your number in later to replace the temporary. But ask first, because I'm not sure if Sprint will do that.

Wow...I don't know what USCC reps would say something stupid like that. As soon as we got our V810s a while back and figured out that the manual was incorrect, we just figured that Motorola changed it from whatever the original version was. Then we figured it out on our own and passed it on. Whoever would even suggest a customer to pay for speakerphone use is ridiculous.! But yes...the speakerphone on the v810 is definitelt ...

Agent or Corporate Store?
Mar 9, 2005, 8:13 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

For all of you that somehow work for USCC whether its directly or indirectly through an agent, how do you like it? Agents, would you rather work for a corporate store? Why? And vice versa, if you work for a retail store, would you guys rather try out the agent side of things? Why? I'm just curious to know. Maybe it will stir up some interesting conversation. :D

Re: The Signal Insurance
Mar 9, 2005, 8:04 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

I agree, Signal Insurance can be a difficult company to work with sometimes, but I guess we have to look at things from their point of view too. They probably deal with a lot of fraud, ridiculous situations, crazy people, etc. Now, that doesn't give them the right to penalize everyone else for it, but maybe that's why you get reps that are hard to deal with.

your phone is not programmed correctly. Take it to a store and they will do it for you. It only takes a minute. I have seen this happen a few times. Your voicemail will work after that.
