Re: How did you come up with this?
I mean, we watched the fall of blackberry back when the iPhone was launched. Between the Moto Droid and the iPhone growing in popularity spelled doom for RIM.
But there hasn't been anything on the horizon that is anywhere near the gamechanging caliber that iOS and Android were. We are stuck in focusing on the miniscule improvements and getting the most horsepower under the hood. I cant see that chain of development leading to something ...
How did you come up with this?
The most popular and best selling OS on the planet right now that is getting better every year and you are convinced that it will dissapear in less than 2 years?
Can you please show your work?

Well, I haven't actually seen the figures, so I may be mistaken. I was only speaking from personal experience.
If you look at his well spoken post...he didn't use figures either, he used personal experience, just like you. Hell he even stated "i know most of my generation, except for most of the women i know, don't use iphones."
He just said that most of the women he knows uses an apple product, but most of his generation doesnt? ...
Re: Bout Time
...yes you can. I listen to playlists and albums in sequence all the time!
Re: Customer Service very lacking
LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Yeah, VZW totally treated you wrong
Re: Fail
Absolutely. Plus it'll be run through the BES, something that i've never had a problem with in the past.
I was very dissapointed that it didn't release on time and i'm waiting patiently for BBM to drop.
Re: Yes and no
Isn't it the 4s 8GB that is being made to be free on contract? As far as I've heard, all of the other 4s models are being discontinued and have not recieved a price drop officially.
Re: I really need a phone today
If you actually have methods that arn't common knowledge within the industry of keeping unlimited data, PM me. I'll post a public apology.
Yeah, this isn't exactly news
Most people i know in the business have been doing this for a while now. Ghost lines are also a way to keep unlimited.
I just wanted to see if Mr. PhoneMan07 actually had anything to say other than follow me on twitter and i'll tell you the secret
Re: I really need a phone today
you must be new here. epik knows his stuff. I'd say he probably knows every trick in the book.
So what is your secret to keeping unlimited data, kid? I guarantee you its most likely very shady and benefits your company much more than the customer. Prove me wrong.
Re: Alcatel? Huawei?
Doesn't matter. I wouldn't wish those phones on my worst enemy and i cannot believe that anybody would recommend them.
Re: How to be an uninformed representative:
lol, I'm going to steal that one.
Re: Best phone on Verizon Wireless
Best phone is subjective.
DNA, S4, iPhone 5, Note2 are all solid devices.
Just what Verizon needs
Another Razr M....
Re: Pre-orders for the Blackberry z10 is on!!!!
I'm not on the ATT side, but i don't see any fire surrounding the z10. the z10 currently amounts to approximately 1% of my sales MTD
Re: Why Facebook Home fail at Android Device?
Or, you know, its a stupid idea that most people don't want/need.
You guys typically place your emphasis on different things than must hardware junkies.
Well, exactly. Thats what makes PS a different place. They're not reviews for phone junkies. Which is cool and relatively refreshing. Its very easy to get buried in specs that don't really mean anything.
Re: ne2, cotracts, and alternate upgrades
Thats very possible. With the money that Verizon Communications is losing daily, they need to figure out how to gain profits somewhere. Verizon Wireless is a good place to start.
Re: ne2, cotracts, and alternate upgrades
??? Phone subsidies are the single largest controllable factor to the bottom line. I takes approximately 15 months for the carrier to break even on high end phones.
I have a very, very tight budget
"and going to T-Mobile is the only way for me to get a *NEW* smartphone w/o adding to my very tight budget"
Maybe a new smartphone isn't what you actually NEED.....
Samsung has shown very early prototypes of that
Like the Galaxy Nexus, or are you thinking of different examples?
Re: even the govt is going apple
You got anything to back that up with?
Re: No fees here!
I have a feeling that you're employeed by T-Mobile....
C'mon man
We have been over this with you time and time again. You can't sign a new contract and keep unlimited data on that line. There is a thread with plenty of work arounds and lord knows you've asked enough times.
give it a rest, will ya?
Re: Oh Canada
Nobody posting in this thread for over 18 months?
Canada.
Re: Nokia Unlock Code
I'm pretty impressed by a 7 year necrobump
Re: White House Petition for Unlimited Data
doesnt the government interfere with business enough?
Why in the world would we want the White House involved in how the Wireless industry does business (any more than it already is?)
Re: Grandfathered Unlimited Data
I mean, if you feel like paying for it, you can definately get an old Talk & Text plan and add a line while keeping your unlimited data...but the price you would be paying would be more than the unsubsidised price of the phone.
One think you might try is getting an HPC device and activate it as a Month to Month on your account, its only $20 a month (also cool if you already have home phone service). ...
Re: ACTIVATION AND UPGRADE FEE
Would you rather pay $650 for your new iphone or $230 for your new iphone?
Re: Eh
straight creepy, yo
Re: Your logic would make sense IF...
I just wanted to see if you would shake yourself at me.
You didn't dissapoint.
Re: Grandfathered Unlimited Data
Looking at this from the, shall we say, shadier side of the fence, there are a couple of ways that you can sign a 2 yr contract, get the subsidised pricing and still keep unlimited data.
However, all of these options involve signing contracts on different lines than the one with unlimited data. The two most common ways that i've seen in the indirect channel is either us a different upgrade on the account or start up ...
Re: Your logic would make sense IF...
didn't mean to rustle your jimmies there, kiddo...not exactly sure why you decided to take the holier than thou tone with me but heres this.
What if he doesn't care about the unlimited data? (that happens to be the same question i asked earlier)
But thanks for your rational discourse, regardless....
Re: "My upgrade is available though and it wouldn't be right for me to just let it sit there."
To play devils advocate, here, sometimes it does make sense to upgrade for no reason.
You pay the same money monthly regardless of if you're in contract or not. It makes sense to take the money Verizon is giving you in the form of a subsidy instead of sitting and paying the monthly bill on a line that can upgrade.
Happy with your phone? Upgrade and sell it. Make some money in the process.
Re: Do you have an unlimited data plan? (NT)
??
Yeah, but some people just don't need to have unlimited data. He was just asking if he was willing to drop down to 2GB.
Re: Upgrade time.
isn't the RazrMaxx HD and the SGIII about the same size?
Re: Proper Chain of command.
what in the world are you talking about?
You bumped a three year old thread, for what exactly?
Re: HYUNDAI MAY ENTER LOW-END CAR MARKET
If you need a 10 yr/100,000 mile warranty, there is probably a reason...
Re: Knack or Coupe? Which is best for an elderly parent?
Do you think that you added anything new to this conversation?
There is a very real chance that the person in question is
1.) No longer looking at these phones wondering which to buy
2.) No longer looking at these forums waiting for a response to the thread
But you DID however bump a fairly useless topic (both of these phones are EOL and hard to get unless you order online) praising the values of a phone that fits a very niche ...
Wont work at all
The sim card in the iPhone 4s is a different size and type than the one in the DNA. The DNA takes a micro 4g sim card to activate and use. The sim card in the 4s i believe is standard sized and is only capable of activating the international GSM part of the iPhone. It has no useful purpose here in the states as the iPhone runs off of Verizons CDMA network.
