The CWA needs to shut it.
The CWA would support this if T-Mobile had joined their corrupt union. Dont buy anything they say.
No way
Verizon and ATT are allowed to own multiples, there is no reason T-Mobile shouldn't.
are they removable?
are they removable? Samsung phones are crippled by this garbage and it has gotten worse over the last few generations... This is why i switched to the z2 Force and i couldn't be more happy with it.
Re: Who'dda thunk?
If you think Apple is any different you are seriously misguided. But if it makes you feel better, keep believing that. Its best to just assume anything you do on your phone can be compromised.
I agree
They make it clear when you use the service on Android that they are collecting...
People were really surprised?
There is obviously going to be trade offs for tickets that cheap... What did people expect? Dont like it? Stop getting $10 a month tickets and go on pretending your phone doesn't track everything you do anyway.
Re: Very telling......
What?
ha- haha- HAHA- HAHAHAHAHAHA
$350 and months late?!? I guess Apple doesn't want to compete in this market! What a joke!
Re: If...
I highly doubt that will be the case.
what a joke
The fact that he even considered lowering the broadband definition speaks to his motivations. Such a decision would have been entirely a political move designed to only let internet providers make claims they do not deserve and make it look like progress. we need REAL INTERNET INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES, and NOT political manipulation.
The Moto z2 Force should be on this list.
Only reason the z2 didn't make the list is its less popular.
Ridiculous... They should be replacing them for free at this point.
Apple slow down your phone and hides it, and then they ask you to pay them to replace the battery which they say is the only reason they slow your phone down(when in reality this is programmed obsolescence). Dont buy this nonsense and consider a non-Apple phone next time around.
Re: What about the 5s?
'Additionally, the iPhone 4S, 5, 5S and 5C are excluded from Apple's program' -Engadget BUT you can get a kit to do it yourself... https://www.engadget.com/2017/12/29/ifixit-ip hone-battery-replacement-kit-discount/
Re: Iphone OS slows older iphones
Hell yes it is. They will act like its perfectly normal and their fanboys will find a way to justify it, but the fact is this is wrong. They have to find some way to make their new phones seem better, otherwise people might realize its the same phone as the last one.
useless
wow... I mean why even bother? The fast lanes are one of the biggest issues...
Re: DUMB I'VE BEEN SAYING SINCE SPRINT MERGER TALKS THAT T-MO SHOULD
I believe this could still happen. I also believe that thinking forward to Layer3's type of delivery method will pay off. If a merger does happen with Dish, im sure the Sat dish service will still exist but primary focus will be on the Sling service and its added benefits. You hit the nail on the head with all that spectrum though. It could become very valuable when 5g when it is finally defined and rolled out. All these ...
Re: Pai is an ideologue who is only concerned with big businesses and their army of lobbyists.
Could you pretty please promise to treat customer right? this is our new net neutrality when this happens. You hit the nail on the head. Its ironic how the people who are going to be the most effected are the supporters of 'free market' internet.
This can not stand....
Apple delivered something 'new'(Only to Apple) and expected $1000 for it... This is unacceptable. They are attempting to set a precedent that we will never come back from.
Also supported by Digits with T-Mobile...
You should modify this to include T-Mobile Digits.
ATT only...
I wish they would make this available to other carriers. Especially since they got rid of the non-edge display option for the standard flagship...
Terrible
Another copy/ paste from T-Mobile's playbook. I'm sure Sprint will find some way to screw these customers as they do the rest.
Well said Neville
There will be no practical need for this until 2020 given the equipment available. Verizon and ATT just want to say they have it.
This just in...
'Turing Phone' has filed for bankruptcy following a terrible decision to use a little known mobile OS platform called Sailfish...
Total bullshit
T-Mobile advertising is transparent and you get what is promised. The customer plays a huge part in the 'timely' aspect of the etf reimbursement and if they don't get the right documents in, that's on them.
Re: Given that what's written here is true
You have to remember, the point is to lower usage and allow you more video streaming so although YouTube is not a part of BingeOn, watching it optimized will allow your data to last 3 times as long. At the end of the day, there is no argument because IT CAN BE DISABLED ANY TIME.
Re: Garbage
All true. There are no fees other than what you owe on the phone you promised to pay for. It's a loan, not a service agreement. Ignorant fools wasting time going after a company who is changing the industry for the better every day. Oh and when you stop paying your bills, YOU GO TO COLLECTIONS regardless of race.
Stick the knife in and turn it...
Another home run from T-Mobile! Sprint is so sad.
LOL!!!
Verizon: Is your Verizon bill to high? do you have too many overages? Let someone else pay for it!!! Great plan Verizon...
Re: It's moves like this that make me want to switch to T-Mobile
You should also know that deprioritization only happens to a small amount of people in busy /congested areas. It's unlikely you would ever see it happen even with high usage.
Sprint is so sad...
No one wants their terrible customer service, broken network and half baked promotions.
Re: 1 step forward 4 steps back
HA! So true.
Re: bad move
Good news! Or at least not bad news yet... http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/microsoft -lumia-950-carrier-news/
Wow... Terrible.
Another swing and a miss from Verizon. Those prices are crazy.
bad move
I don't understand why a company who is struggling to get market share with their mobile OS would limit the sale of a FLAGSHIP phone to a single carrier even for a short period of time. Initial release is vital to a phone's success. I will be very disappointed if this turns out to be true.
Re: This guy doesn't get it!
That is right! Even if T-Mobile is allowed to pick up a large portion, they will simply be evening things out by allowing it. ATT and Verizon have a TON of spectrum and Sprint is sitting on a sizable amount as well. Go T-Mobile!
Copy/paste yet again
Another example of Sprint making a lame copy of T-Mobile's play book.
Not okay
They should have thought about this when they set the rules. They can't decide after the fact that it wasn't kosher and make them pay. Besides, whatever keeps the spectrum out of the hands of Verizon and Att is fine by me.
Re: Well
Well said. Is funny how he wants to talk about T-Mobile's lease being deceptive when everything is completely clear including the fact that the $16 phones are a special. He is basically complaining that they are giving customers a deal... People need to realize that the days of phone subsidy are over. You pay for the phone you want bottom line and T-Mobile doesn't hide this like the others. The lease is just one more option ...
Re: Way to parry words Verizon.
well said.
Re: Wow... Verizon is full of deceit
You are correct, no doubt about it. BUT, if the smaller 2 carriers are going to compete and be profitable, this change has to take place. Right now T-Mobile is in talks with Dish on a possible merger which would help, but if things are really going to change, all the carriers are going to need to have similar levels of access available to wireless resources. We have all experienced the type of customer abuses that came along with ...
