This guy starts off the call with his huge ego talking about how he knows everything about cell phones and there's nothing I can do with the phone that he hasn't already done and I'm an idiot for insisting on troubleshooting the device. My god, he shouldn't even have a cell phone, let alone a smartphone! He doesn't know how to pull up the dialpad, or how to work his touchscreen, he doesn't ...

customer calls in screaming and raising cain because his phone won't power on. I let him rant and scream for a minute, apologize for the issue and then ask him to remove the battery. This results in him screaming what battery??? This is a damned mobile phone!!!!

sorry if that hit a nerve but 95 percent of my calls are people who do not knowhow to use the phone or apparently read the the manual, to me, this says they are too stupid to own the phone.

Is it too much to ask for a simple thank you after having spent 2 hours troubleshooting a device as a courtesy??
(a phone that, by the way, I was not required to troubleshoot. I could have just been a bitch and left it as warranty voided, but I felt bad for her.)

I'd like to be able to tell my customers that throwing your phone at someone is NOT a malfunction with the phone and if you are that damned childish maybe we should try to locate an old jitterbug for you, after you file an insurance claim because we don't replace devices that fall victim to childish temper tantrums!
