does anyone know how to make the s710a create thumbnails for pictures? I have pictures in the phone and some has a thumbnail and some just have the SE photo icon.

I use PV author 3.0, bitrate i've tried 150000-180000 and no play back problem. Audio i used 64kbps to 92kbps with the AAC codec. Frame rate I've used 4-21fps, I would say dont use anything lower than a 11fps. anything under 11fps would make a video coppy. hope this helps.

I havent tried quicktime pro, but I use PV Author, its free and Ive made full simpsons eps with it. It runs great, video is full width on phone.

i currently have 3 full length simpsons ep on my phone, around 25mb each. quality is decent-good. I could make it better but I was trying to save space. Ive never tried a full movie because of the 128mb limit, I would prob need 2 cards to make it look good.

actually I agree with him, I have friends on TMO and they complain all the time. But it could be my area. We have the same phone, while its rare for him to have decent reception, on my phone I would almost alwaya get full. We both have the same phone, same firmware too.

shouldnt we march to cingular instead? I mean its Cingular who decided only use nokia candybar, so if singular wont pick up the phone, then its not use for SE to provide one.

there is a 32mb memory stick, and a memory stick reader which connects to ur USB port. you can transfer like that or use bluetooth. I would say get the S700

I just called cingular, and the sales rep said that the phone will be availible in a few wks. They had hoped for it to be done with testing already but it hasnt pass testing yet. She said a few wks.. so latest around march? lets hope it'll be out soon.

3G is far from america only, we're a bit late to the game. Japan and some other Asian and Euro nations are running full 3G service. We're setting up EDGE because we can deploy 3G fast enough. The Euro and Asian countries skipped EDGE all together, and went to 3G from 2G service. I believe Japan is in study for their 3G service.

actually I've had 2 SE phones. first the T68 and everyone knows that this phone is the phone of choice for crappy reception. My 2nd one is T616, with the updated firmware my reception is great. I never seen my phone drop down to more than 3 bars. I rarely get drop calls. Ive also tried the T610, I dont get as good reception on that as T616.

thats the only reason why I didnt switch to Verizon, they have crappy phones, compared to the great selection of gsm phones.

Hesquarded is right, this phone would not goto either ATTWS or Cingular, most likely T-Mobile would get it first, unless SE release a 800Mhz, version of this phone. Which I havent seen any plans for it so far. Also, I seen this phone in some asian stores around my area. The retail price is around $800 USD w/o contract, and w/ contract is around $500 as of now. the price would come down few hundred dollars in a month ...

I dont think any of that is SE's fault. It was the carriers choose not to adopt them. IMO Cingular and ATTWS didnt adopt because non of those 3 have 850 GSM band, and I think they are starting to make 850 an madatory feature on phones. and since USA's gs, market is not as big as the other, SE might think ti not neccessary to produce a US version of their phone. TMO is the only one without ...

it should work on ATTWS too, This phone is not currently carried by any us carriers, so I figure they are not locked yet. and since it runs on the 850 gsm band, you can take advantage of what attws and cingular has done.

I dont think the P900 will ever goto Sprint network. I havent heard anything(not even rumors) from SE to port P900 to cdma
