I had the v710, and had THREE problems with it. 1. The screen on my first one would scramble periodically, then come back on, for no apparent reason. It finally just went blank. I called, they sent me a new one. 2. On my second one, it eventually quit taking a charge, or rather, the plug wore out. I had to use rubber bands to hold the charger into the phone to get the phone charged, until Verizon, ...

Yes, I checked last night, but the "sales rep" at Verizon told me there IS no usb connecting cable for the 8100. But then, I know they lie just to get rid of people. So the bluetooth thing might be an option. That leaves me wondering how all these other people are downloading/uploading to/from their phones?

Yah..the lights are a little cheesy...but it's sure an easy phone to find when it rings in the night. If I let it ring, I could probably get dressed by those LEDs....BRIGHT! 8O

I have used the Moto HS810 and HS820, as well as the very first Jabra that came out. So far I prefer the HS820. It is s little bigger than the 810, but it is much easier and quicker to connect/disconnet. Unless you want to wear your earpiece ALL the time like a REAL geek 8O , this is a very important feature. Also means your battery will last a LOT longer. Sound is ...

The ringtone must be saved to your phone's memory to be used as a ringtone. Verizon intentionally disabled the ability to do this after the very first edition of the v710 so that people could not use their own MP3s as ringtones. I had that one, and was able to use self-edited Chris Farley outtakes as ringtones..it was a riot, but no more. The second and third v710s i got as replacements had the feature disabled, ...

I am not sure what happened, but my v710 screen was OUT last night when I turned in. When I picked it up this morning, it was back on, and has worked fine for the last 24 hours. I still am a little wary of the "temperamentalness" of this phone, but got the HS820 headset today and am so impressed with that functionality that I can't help but plug along with this handset. The headset is ...

v710 another Motorola Lemon

I have had this phone for 5 days. As I type this, the screen on it is completely blank on the desk in front of me. I am a Verizon Dealer, and this phone will be going back to Motorola first thing this morning when I get to work. I am going back to my VX7000, bluetooth or no bluetooth. At least I knew it would work when I turned it on. And ...
