I'm an advanced android user and also tech support for phones, so I was initially concerned when I learned that the new myTouch line was going to be put out by Huawei. This was the company responsible for the Tap and the Comet, so their track record hadn't been the best, but their Springboard tablet was pretty solid, so there was at least a chance for redemption.
After playing with them, I can attest that this is a solid ...

You can remove updates and revert back to the original version, however the app is built to check for updates when opened and will not allow it to be used if a newer version is available. It will stop the popups but render the app useless.

Sure they can! This was part of the agreement AT&T committed to when they chose to purchase T-Moble and failed. AT&T only made such a large promise becaus they were sure they would get their way. Now it's come back to bite them.

It's not meant to retrieve a location from cratch, but to maintain a location when GPS is lost. If I'm travelling down the interstate and lose my gps, based on vehicle speed the program should now be able to estimate where I am rather than stopping at the last point where I had a signal.

Right, but the newer high end phones will most likely have NFC on board already. For lower end phones it would be useless.

Does the microSD card also provide storage, or is it simply meant to house the NFC unit? I find the idea interesting, but swapping out my card evry time I want to make a payment is not nearly as convenient as just using my debit card.

They've been charging it for quite a while. The tender used doesn't matter, but it ONLY applies for payments made with a live rep. Any other method is still free.

It' normal to lose that many through regular attrition.
Thos of you who work in call centers know the rate at which we lose people. It's just that kind of industry. To lose that many over all their centers is normal.
They're jut not replacing them at the rate they're losing, them. :roll:

I've worked in tech support for Magenta for a long time now, and when someone asks if a phone is bad or if we get a lot of complaints about a certain model I usually tell them it's a little unfair to judge, because nobody calls us to tell us everything is working just fine.

I work in technical support, and I am very good at what I do. And if I tell a customer something can't be done, it means just that. Often it's not a technical restriction, it's against policy. So when someone comes back and tells me I "don't know what I'm dong" or asks me to get some one who "knows what they're doing", that sets me off more than anything else. :evil:

And to be honest, my usage tends to vary depending on the context. I talk to my customers about the amount of DAY-ta that thay've used on the account, but if we're talking about physical connection, I would say DAT-a cable.
