Worked for uscc from 2004-2008 then at sprint yeah had to hit 100% of NEW LINE quota at the time to get paid even if you hit 300% on upgrades you would get nothing. now im at T-mobile over a year and not looking back I have great support and reasonable quotas and expectations and I am able to excell like I once did with uscc, its never going to change back to the way it was at ...

either he's a sales manager and has said the same thing to his associates or its what their sales manager said "funds allocated" yeah...its crap BUT us cellular had to make changes when your not growing or competing (keeping up) you can't pay your employees like everything is great.

It was only a matter of time uscc changed their commission structure when no other carrier pays like that. Us Cellular is slow to get new phones and real change including how they paid their sales people. I worked there from 2004-2008 money was WAY to easy I thought well prior to 2004 the comp plan was even better there were sales reps making 120k a year full time then they started making 50-60k and quit but ...

Sprint may want to buy it when it has the money because we have most of our network where sprint has its affliates. it will buy its affliates in the next few years if not sooner and then uscc would be a good buy especially in the midwest area...

every carrier CAN drop you if you use more than 50% of the minutes you use in usually a 90 day span off their network. Yes they are nationwide plans and roaming agreements are cheap but there is a point where a company no matter the size or what the preach will not take a loss on a customer. Tyman do you have low overall usage to begin with for what your plan may have? I ...

yeah i've had a customer just screaming and yelling at me over nothing really and they said "your wasting my time and not being helpful" So I literally said ok then and stood up from my desk and went to the next customer. Customers are customers its easy to tell which ones have worked in a customer facing environment and which ones haven't...nothing is better than having a customer being totally D-Baggish and walking into wal-mart and ...

Wireless.O.G. said: If you really like throwing money away on phones that you cannot do anything with, may I reccomend a Boost Unlimited phone. For as little as $40 you can get a phone that has no idea what the real internet or real time texting is, and applications like an alarm clock cost $3 or more extra. Or perhaps you would like to drop $349.99 on a Sprint Touch Pro 2 and just use it to make phone calls ...

iDEN network isn't what it used to be. The biggest factor as to why its $50 on iDEN is you get what you pay for. You can roam if you go off the network your S.O.L. sure its fine for the few cellular customers who dont go ANYWHERE out of their town but for the vast majority its not the best option. Menno is correct in saying they dont make money on old plans like they ...

I agree, I hope this phone is worth the hype because lately the low end LG's have been a lot better than their fancy ones. The biggest positive feedback I'm receiving is on the size of the bliss. Smallest, not so bulky of a phone.

most of the time agents know about new phones before corporate employees due to agents haveing to order their own phones sometimes a phone can be ordered weeks before it actually comes out.

that has a lot to do with your location I went from Corp to Agent and wouldn't go back. The most I've been charged back is $25 bucks...thats one activation. Usually there is one or two a month outta 70-80 lines in my area. I keep in touch with all of my customers make sure the service is what they need and want and your going to have the occational chargeback. Company doesn't get paid you ...

what dont YOU understand about how forums are set up. If you'll notice my reply was to what jaimic wrote "Why does everyone want something for nothing? If USCC or any other carrier did everything for free they wouldn't be in business. Last I checked there is not a single non-profit cell provider out there"

arpu isn't going to go down when prices keep going up....thats a given for any company anymore. Churn was great us cellular is definatly making more incentives for customers to stay. Unfortunatly as far as earning more per share they cut a lot of things back like only managers going to the culture survey, and more satalite associate kick off meetings are two big examples (i am not being negative here uscc could have easily done those ...

Re: AT&T or Sprint???

sprints biggest problem is that every different type of store/call center uses a different system for accounts i.e. corp versus agent or affiliate vs agent and then there are the out sourced call centers lol. When I worked there the "taxing" issue happened when a customer either moved from one city to another and the system didnt catch it and charged the taxes for the new city AND current city or they did a change of liability and ...

Re: AT&T or Sprint???
May 7, 2009, 5:16 PM

sprint does have a better (faster) 3g network and is usually quite a bit cheaper than At&t. Customer service department as far as toll free number is horrible but instead of just shopping for a phone shop for a cell phone rep....its your best gateway no matter the carrier

sorry you missunderstood. Yes EVERY carrier lets you switch plans with NO contract and yes if there is a promotional plan i.e. some areas right now with a contract give you N&W at 9pm on $40 plans that normally aren't included etc. Then YES EVERY line has to renew on your account to get a promotional plan but this does not change when you are eligible for new equipment. Trust me I've worked for US Cellular and ...

Having work in a corporate store for 4 years in two different markets as an RWC and now working for an Agent. I enjoy the Agent side 100x more. BUT and i do mean BUT it has a lot to do with the owners of the agent, which in turn can create a better experience for the customer or worse. As far as billing stuff...we are close to our community and we have sent our own ...
