these batteries are refurbish. Now has anyone made an insureance claim with signal and got a refurbish phone. I have it worked for a week. what people dont know the battery your phone comes with has a 1 year warr. what means if it goes bad the replace it with a new battery not USED or REFURBISH (battery cant have water damage). people dont fall for scams. when something is to good to be true it always BS.

It does not say "brand new"

CHICAGO, May 12, 2009 – On May 19 U.S. Cellular will launch an industry-leading Battery Swap program, where customers can come into a store and change out a dead or dying battery for a fully-charged one, for free. U.S. Cellular is the only wireless company to offer this service.

So what if the battery that is given to you through the battery swap program only lasts one week! If it only lasts a week, then come in and swap it out for another, if that one only lasts a week, swap it out for another! Up to 4 a month, and they're not being strict about that, just after 4 the phone should be looked at as a problem.

To add to that.. These are not refurbished batteries as its not cost effective or really possible to refurbish a lithium ion battery. These are batteries that are tested & charged to ensure they test good, if they dont, they wont be used. This does allow for moisture damaged, aftermarket, out of warranty, bad (tests beyond spec), or simply dead. A great concept in my opinion!

😳 yea, i am still. Im ready for this program to roll, its going to be a great option. I know some of ours in our kit are used, however I trust they will be managed well. and 3 swaps a month is pretty sweet.

The only BS that goes into it is the same amount that comes out of it from the other side.

A battery is tested when it comes in store, and while many customers claim that "it only lasts one five-minute call" or other such nonsense, we have to actually test the battery to swap ...
