I think this might be posted somewhere else on the board. But V09 is now available. The only difference I can notice is the web browser is completely different, but what a difference! The new browser makes surfing the web on the phone a MUCH better experience. It also seems a bit faster to me. It is worth your time to get the update if you use the internet at all on the phone.

Verizon and AT&T are both using LTE for their 4G networks, that alone should show that LTE will eventually be the standard. Sprint sucks, always has, and once again made a poor decision.

NEW VZ Navigator Version 5 Now Available for enV Touch
Version 5 of VZ Navigator is completely different and very cool. I like it much better.
Go to Media Center, Browse & Download, highlight VZ Navigator, Options, Upgrade Check. Free download to the new Version 5.
The download will not show up if you don't have V07 of the software. You will need to take it to a store and have it updated.

I have no problem with this at all. I just wish that the battery life was better on this phone. My Voyager had much stronger battery life it seems.

I find the detachable keyboard to be a huge pain. The whole detachable keyboard thing is actually a great idea, but it just doesn't work. It's so much of a pain that you're not going to be doing it all the time. You would find yourself either using the phone one way or the other.
Plus the keyboard is so light...that it makes the main part of the phone very top-heavy. So it doesn't feel very comfortable to hold and ...

It's not even close! The software on the Glyde is horrible! Everything about the Voyager functions ten times better than on the Glyde.
I work for a Verizon Wireless agent store and sell their phones every day. Glyde owners come in here all the time to ask me questions and they all regret their decision.

Oh, and as far as the car bluetooth thing. At least me personally...I've never experienced any of that. I don't have bluetooth actually built-in to my vehicle, but I do have a Venturi Bluetooth/FM Transmitter that allows me to bluetooth all of my calls and music through my car...and that works flawlessly. Sure the audio isn't exactly CD quality, but it's just as good as any radio station.

It's easy. Check your software by (with the flip open) pressing Menu, then go to Settings & Tools, Phone Info, SW/HW Version, and look underneath [SW Version]. You probably have V07.
You can upgrade to the new V11 software easily and free by walking into any Verizon Wireless corporate location and asking them to flash your phone.
Beware though, all your ringtones, games, and applications WILL be completely DELETED. Before you flash the phone make sure that you write ...

:D It does work now! All I did was go back into the ESPN MVP and try it again and it works! It listed a new download when I attmepted to access my alerts, and after it downloaded it works fine. I think Verizon must have figured out what was wrong, fixed it, and then put up the download as a fix. Thanks!

I work for Verizon. I own a Voyager. Have had a lot of time with it, as well as the Glyde. Do yourself a favor and get the Voyager. You will be much happier with it.

Wow, I don't have any of those problems. Since I upgraded to V09 my touch is way more responsive now, love it. My Voyager has never power cycled once since I've gotten it(day after original release day). As far as the browser running out of memory...I've never experienced that either, not once. I wouldn't have any other phone than my Voyager, it's been the best phone I've ever owned.

Yes. ESPN MVP Alerts do not work with the new VO9 Update. I spent over an hour on the phone with a top-tier tech person and they weren't even aware of the situation. I spent another half an hour with another advisor and after an hour and a half on the phone they told me that if I really, really wanted to have my ESPN MVP alerts working, to take my Voyager back into a store and have them ...
