so let me get this straight.

the phone is $250 after rebate + $10 a month extra for 2 years. for a crippled, locked down brew handset.

this phone costs more than the droid. more than any blackberry.

verizon is living in a fantasy land

You basically can't get any phone now except some super lame phone without be JACKED for more MONEY!! For nothing you don't even want. I like this phone, but it's not a smart phone and I will not pay 30 bucks for unlimited dumbphone data! Screw you verizon!

The 30 dollar dumbphone phone data was huge mistake IMO. 20 bucks would have been fair, but 30 dollars for a casio brigade is absurd.

Its a shame, but everything is still compared to the iphone. And the only thing this phone has over the iphone is the mil spec qualities. This phone is 150 dollars more than an iphone, and has the same unlm data charges. Just doesnt look good for verizon.

I really wish att would make a bold move and offer some type of family data or data/gps/texting deal similar to sprint, but maybe charge a little more. ATT just waits for verizon to make a move, and never takes any risks.

I was comparing unlm data. not the 25mb (which is a joke). I thought I put that in there, but I didnt.

I just got the Brigade this past Saturday... It has it's own technical issues, which I will put on a different string, but as to the $9.99 data plan. It's supposed to be attached to this phone, but somehow skipped my phone, so I didn't have to get one... Really liked the phone, cept for the glitches...
