Wanted to get some info on how to change some settings on the phone such as if there is anyway to remove the Animation when changing orintation. Here are a few fixes for some known issues with the phone.

*PointUI Home 2, or Androkidd (Better user interface, although I couldn't get Androkidd to work)
*S2U2 (better Unlocking)
*Resco Keyboard or Swype Keyboard (Much better Keyboard) ***YOU WILL HAVE TO GOOGLE SEARCH SWYPE KEYBOARD FOR OMNIA I910 as it can no longer be discussed as per SWYPE INC.

Notification Issue

I put a few phone numbers in the area to be able to make emergency calls if the phone is locked. Now every time I call these numbers a notification pops up stating emergency calls can only be made for emergencies. It only goes away if I shut off the phone. I also tried to take the numbers out of the emergency list and the phone won't let me. Can anyone help?
I had that problem too, when making a call and you get that message, there should be a button at the top of the screen to cancel emergency mode.

I tried taking out the numbers from my emeregency contact but i still got the same problem.

Calendar synching = Phone Overheating?? ! ! ?

ok, so been running omnia for about a year now, and over the weekend, it started going through the battery in less than an hour... normally I'm good for 24 to 30 hours.

did a little digging, and it's active synch, if I turn off the calendar for synchronization with exchange I'm good for 24 to 30 hours, like normal, and phone doesn't get hot.

Turn the calendar back on, and it starts to grind through, until I have to charge it, or battery shuts it down...

What the heck, was this past weekend when DST used to change?

Is there a limit to how many appts will carry over to the phone? I'm only copying the past 2 weeks, and the future...

Can I limit how far into the future I synch?

Questions about XT9 and others

Can anyone tell me what auto-append and recapture do in the XT9 options are?

Also, is there any way to truly disable the auto-capitalize first letter of each sentence ... even when this option is chosen, the first letter is always capitalized (this seems to be true of all PDAs and Smartphones that I've used). Also, are there any known issues with wraparound not working?

Thanks for any assistance, I've exhausted all other resources and appreciate any help.

Is it Verizon doing thier dirty work...trying to force us to pay for GPS, what our government provides for free.

Is my omnia a defect?

I have had Omnia over couple of months now. Since I am always busy, I couldn't find a time to figure some of here and there few irritating errors I have been getting when using the phone.

Here are some lists. Please let me know if there is something wrong with my phone.

When on the phone for a while, sometimes the phone dials out #min middle of a call with someone. ??? When using the phone, the screen is always blocked and goes blank. I don't know how the hell it calls out #min to verizon time to time.
My device gets very laggy. I have to turn off and on to recover it. Sometime, on/off button does not even respond. I have to literally pull out the battery to reset.
Ok. Another major error I have is when I set my phone on v...

Omnia Review after long ownership

I am not in love with this phone. I have found the need for a special hookup for my ear phones to be a pain in the butt. I may as well not have the radio.

Using 3rd party applications has for the most part proven to be not very useful, since I have to be careful that they are compatible with the widgets. It just seems the WM 6.1 is not attracting much attention for cool applications these days.

The phone dialer is awful. Finding a contact takes too many steps and the list from within the phone itself has way too small a font and its too easy to dial a number instead of just look at your record for that person. I can not dial with one hand on this phone unless its a speed dial

The personalized ringer has never worked. I have set it ...

Get Skype on your phone

I just downloaded the latest version of Skype on my phone and it works great! This is the linkhttp://www.skype.com/download/skype/windo wsmobile/ Download it to your computer first then install it through active sync, it works better and faster this way. Save it to you Storage Memory. I also downloaded Youtubeplay, Google Maps, and I also listen to streaming radio on www.pdatuner.com with my Internet Explorer on the phone.

Great phone!
Thank you. YOu might also want to check out PDAnet.

I910 Case with Stylus Holder

I've been getting familiar with my new i910, which I like for the most part, but the absence of a stylus holder on the phone has been annoying.

Searching the web for a case that had a place to store the stylus turned up only one, which I found here:
http://www.carrymobile.com/scripts/main/viewitem-SSI ... »

There are several other styles available, but I chose this one. It arrived today, and I like it. Quality seems good, and now I can finally keep the stylus with the phone, and that's important to me, since there are situations where a finger touch just do a very good job.

I threw together a couple of images of it with my phone in it. Sorry for the poor lighting, but they serve to illustrate.

Texting autfill? Can i turn that feature off????

I've had this phone for a week now and i love it. The only problem that i am having is that the text is autofilling and i can not figure out how turn this feature off. I'm not phone illiterate and i work at radioshack but everything i have tried has not worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Is this what you're speaking of?
Compose a message using the Samsung Keyboard.
On the keyboard, select xt9 to AutoFill or select abc to NOT autofill. xt9/abc located near bottom left of Sumsung Keyboard.
yeah that worked. Thanks for the info.

Windows Mobile OS

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.

I am looking for the non-branded Windows mobile 6.1 OS. I have no idea if one is even available, but if so does anyone know where I can find one? I'm just looking for the windows mobile 6.1 without all the samsung and verizon crap bundled. I would prefer to get it from either microsoft or samsung if possible. I'm still not 100% comfortable putting someone elses 'cooked' rom on it.

Thanks in advance for any help.
