Verizon Has screwed us again

Ok I love verizon so this post may come across wrong but you all probably know how to unlock the mp3 player you know the number 0 a dozen times. However it looks like they just did a software update that locks it out so now I can't unlock it anymore. Anyone know anything about this and if theres a work around? Cause I really don't want to lose my ht820 stereo headset which won't work with the wma player.

Quick question again....

I just bought the vx 8600 for full retail yesterday, and I was wondering if I could still go in and just swap it out with the 8300 without question?

Question about downgrading to this phone..

Now, I wouldn't necessarily call it "downgrading", but this phone is currently cheaper than my 8600. I've had my 8600 for 24 hours, worked good at first, but now it can't receive calls at all. I'm heading into Verizon tomorrow to exchange this phone out for the 8300. Since it is cheaper, would they credit me money back, or how does that work?

music essentials kit

can the music essentials kit be used to transfer 30 second mp3 slices to the phone (not the memory card) to be saved as a ringtone?
or does the kit only work for saving mp3 and mp3 clips to the memory card.
thanks so much

mp3 question

I just got my VX-8300 Friday and am trying to convert it to play mp3 songs. I have gone thru the hidden menu and gotten to the music setting folder. When I push the OK button the phone says Not Avaliable. Am doing something wrong or did they take the mp3 function off of the phone.
Thanks,

8300

HI, just got my 8300 this afternoon, I thought I read on here a while back that you can set the 8300 to announce who's calling you from your contact list (the actual name), anyone know how to do that if it's even possible. Thanks

Snooze Time

Is there anyway to add more time to the snooze alarm instead of just the standard 5 minutes?

VX8300 or RAZR V3M? Which iS better?

Upgrading my VX 7000. Not sure whether to go with RAZR V3M or LG VX8300. Tried the new VX8600 but my old 7000 sounded so much better.
Anyone tried he RAZR and 8300? If so, which phone do you think is better? I have played woith them at the store but I like to have it for a weeks or so to use them.

Voice Command Question

I just got the 8300 today. I upgraded
from the lg 6100 which is a great basic but
solid phone. My question is doe's the
8300 have a voice command like the lg6100.
With the 6100 when you opened the phone
you were able to state a name and the
number was dialed. On the 8300 I can not
find this feature. It appears that one
must go into tools and go into voice
commands. Thanks in advance.

Problem with "homemade" ringtones

Anyone else have problems when making your own ringtones and sending them to your vzxpix.com address? Out of about 6 or 7 tries, I've only gotten 1 to sound normal on the phone. The others sound like a transistor radio.

Charger Port Cover

I just got the VX8300 and noticed that the charger port cover detaches completely when the phone is charging; the cover isn't teathered to the phone.

Does anyone store the charger port cover in a safe place while charging the phone, then replace it when done?

I'm just curious why LG bothered to include the port cover and making it match the the color & style of the phone, when it will obviously get lost.

This is by no means a deal-breaker for me. Every mobile phone I've ever owned had the charger port exposed with no ill effects.

outside buttons

Is there a way to disable the outside buttons (music?) on the front of this phone? I like the phone, but these buttons are problematic for me.

Thanks, Scott

LG Bluetooth Headsets

Has anyone tried the LG Headsets, LBT710 or LBT730?
With all of the complaints I've heard regarding the VX8300's compatability with other brands headsets, I thought that one by LG might work better with an LG phone.
