I just bought the vx 8600 for full retail yesterday, and I was wondering if I could still go in and just swap it out with the 8300 without question?

Sure can. I just swapped a 5300 after 12 days for the 8300.

Thanks for the quick replys tourman. How do you like your 8300? Do you think swapping the 8600 for the 8300 is a good idea?

No problem. I would. My last phone was a Motorola E815 which I purchased about 2 1/2 years ago. 2 things I was looking for was size and reception/voice quality. The E815 was crystal clear everywhere I used it. I always hated the size and have been waiting for a comparable replacement. I first tried the 5300 because I like the LG UI and wanted a smaller phone. Unfortunately it was too small and returned it for the 8300, which I have had for 4 days. The phone seems to have a good signal and the sound is great. Looks like I am keeping the 8300. It is a little bit smaller all around then the 815. I personally would not get the 8600. It seems like a toy made for teenagers. I want a phone made for an adult. I do not think you will be dissapointed ...

Thanks for your input. I was in a pickle as to which phone to get, the 8300 or keep my 8600, and your input has been my deciding factor. The 8300 seems like a phone to keep for two years. So tomorrow I will make a trip to verizon to exchange this phone for the 8300! Can't wait.
