Verizon Has screwed us again
Ok I love verizon so this post may come across wrong but you all probably know how to unlock the mp3 player you know the number 0 a dozen times. However it looks like they just did a software update that locks it out so now I can't unlock it anymore. Anyone know anything about this and if theres a work around? Cause I really don't want to lose my ht820 stereo headset which won't work with the wma player.

MP3s are automatically enabled now, meaning there is no need to get into the secret menu to get things working.

I believe it is v3. I'm not certain it's available at all Verizon stores, but I think v2 is. Further, v2 is compatible with mp3.

If I get an 8300 (no telling how long it's been on their shelf right?) is there something I need to ask for at the store as far as v2, v3, or whatever?
Or, can this be done by merely doing an update over the phone (whatever that number is)?

The store will have to do the firmware update. Mine has v3. Yours most like will also.

The update needs to be done by the Verizon store, or you can do it yourself on your own computer if you download the firmware upgrade and have a data cable.
Too bad it's still working in the old-fashioned way; so many other phones (is it Sprint? Samsung? no idea) you can update your phone via air, just like you recieve messages. it's about time Verizon (or LG?) should catch up with the other up-to-date technology in this matter.

OK, so I just upgraded my software to version 3 and now I can't play any songs from my memory card. I hit the outside buttons to play and I get "no Application". I go in through get it now - get tunes and tones - and try my sounds and nothing there. I try my music and it just stays there and doesn't do anything. It just freezes there. I checked in settings and tools and check the memory on the card in the my music and there they are all of them there. So i took the songs out of my mp3 folder since there is none anymore and moved them to the my music, still same thing. I move them to my sounds nothing. I reformatted the card and did the process all over again and same thing. No application. What is going on? What am I doing wrong? Or is it th...
