Is there a car mount that woks with this phone?

I picked mine up yesterday from Cellular South and I must say this thing is awesome! One thing I can't figure out and I hope someone can help me is: Is there a way to make the battery indicator visible on the screen at all times?

Does anyone have a fix for the very soft ring volume? Is anyone else having this problem?
Audiovox says that this is the way it is and they aren't going to fix it.

Hello all! I have been following the posts on this board for a while now, and need some current Bluetooth information for the XV6600 (Verizon). I am looking to use the XV6600 with a Jabra BT800 headset. I am aware of some issues with the Bluetooth, such as connection status and problems with the phone entering into standby mode. However, can the XV6600 (with or without the new update [3500]) do this:

1) use the BT800 as a remote headset in general
2) voice dial from the headset (I saw reports that the MS voice command would not work via Bluetooth)
3) activate the BT800 (or any Bluetooth headset) when the phone is called (regardless of standby mode on the phone) - in other words, I know that I may need to wake the phone to pla...

I just got the PPC-6600 yesterday, and its already going back defective today. I can't get Vision working.

After 7 or 8 calls and a cast of dozens of sprint support types, they came to the conclusion that the modem on my phone is defective. I finally got through to someone that knows the phone and spent an hour trying to get it running. I'm somewhat incredulous, but we'll see when the new phone gets in.

The camera is really slick. It does both stills and MP4 videos that can be mailed.

Also, even though the phone isn't listed on the Sprint website, it can be purchased; you just have to ask them about it. I was calling to order the 6601, and the rep happened to mention the 6600, so I got that instead.

Here's my 2 cents. I had (and now still have) the V710. Regardless of the crippled Bluetooth, it works great as a phone. I got the 6600 and I absolutely love the Broadband access. I am on the road all day and it is great. However, the phone portion of this device is just not anything great. I don't want to have to play around to try to get my BT headset to work. With the V710, you turn it on and it works. Not so with the 6600. Also, it really is a brick to carry around as a phone and probably won't take a good deal of abuse. I installed MS Voice Command for voice recognition and it was fair at best. Definitely not like the V710 voice recognition. V710 blows it out of the water there.

Also, you can't be online and on the phone simultaneo...

HAS ANYONE CONNECTED THERE PHONE TO A BLUETOOTH PRINTER SUCH AS THE I80 FROM CANNON.
I AM TRYING TO CREATE A MOBILE OFFICE SO I CAN DO ALL BUSINESS ON THE GO AND NOT SPEND TO MUCH TIME IN THE OFFICE.

When I connect to the internet and have the two arrows pointing left and right when I close it stays online even when I switch off! Why and how do I get it to sign offline?

Does anyone no when the 6600 with camera will be avaliable - right now the online buisness sales claim they do not know?

I just went into my local Verizon store and bought the new XV6600. They activated the phone and then tried to call me but we could not hear the ring tone (it was there but so low that you could bearly hear it.) We tried everything (moved the slider bars for both ringtone and telephone ear piece to their highest position. Nothing helped.
We then tried the one other XV6600 in the store and had the same problem.
The salesman and the manager really tried. They called Technical Support but they were not able to offer any help. I finally had to return the phone and all accessories and get a credit.
Anyone have the same problem and any solutions.

I had two question. The price of this phone is really high. Do you know if other retailers(Amazon, Circuit City) will start carrying this phone and offering there usual rebates? Also with the Pocket PC software and the expansion slot, can you use this phone as an mp3 player? Thanks for your help.

I just got my Garmin GPS 10 deluxe yesterday and it works great with my xv6600. I had the Garmin ique3600 OS pda for 3 years and it was great but the os series was just not up to date with the pocket pc so I sold the ique 3600 and bought the xv6600. I then tried the teletype gps system which was pure crap! 😡 so i promptly sold it and waited for the release of the new Garmin gps10. The bluetooth module paired perfect with the xv6600 and it now is the same gps functions as the ique had but with improved graphics!!!

Is the part about "So Long as you order it with a wifi chip" something to worry about, or do they all come that way?...

Sadly, Verizon is not on top of repairing known problems with Bluetooth for the XV6600. I had to return my XV6600 yesterday, despite loving the phone outside of its bluetooth deficiencies.

The problems I encountered were:

1) Crackling sounds in ear piece
2) Will not pair properly with bluetooth in Acura TL car. Siemens S56 paired perfectly (from AT&T). There was a workaround but it involved re-connecting the phone to the car each and every time I got into the car. Then I had to place a call and hang up. Then the next call would work. Sometimes I had to do a soft reset of the XV6600. This is obviously a huge distraction and takes the fun out of using the phone.

Is ther a car kit?

Does anyone have any idea how to use the XV6600's data connection (evdo / 1x) to authenticate to a VPN server on the internet that requires 2 factor SecurID authentication to establish an IPSEC VPN tunnel? Have to be able to pass group ID & group password in addition to SecurID info. Apani VPN client works well over WI-FI, but it is Wi-Fi only per Apani (SDIO wi-fi card). Please be as specific as possible if you have a solution.

What a joke Verizon is.......I called about 2 months ago and told them that the phone's BT was not working correctly.....2 months and nobody can figure out a patch at Audiovox/Verizon? I keep on telling them that they should put customers like us ahead of the buy one get one free 9.99 deals........what a shame their customer service is......

Ok... I am a bit confused. I made a point to ask the Sales Rep if I use MSN or the internet it would be counted against my data plan and not my minutes. She assured me it would go against my data plan. I even re-stated the question a few different ways, as I do not want to get stuck with a HUGE Bill.

I am located in NY where EVDO is available but it is barely available for more than 2 seconds on my phone.

Any advice would be a appreciated... If it does go against my minutes do I have any recourse???

Has anyone heard anything RELIABLE if VZW will be releasing the 6000 with the camera? I know there were delays because of the camera, but is there anything new?
