Can Hardly Wait!

My local Verizon Store states they will have the 6600 on display on Monday. The salesperson saw the excitment I had for this new device and gave me a sneak preview.

It looked SOOOO KEWL!

Is the volume really an issue?
Is it CRAZY to spend 45 a month for a DATA Plan?
Have any of you used the Intellsync? Any comments on it performance?

Apologies for so many questions.

Bluetooth Problems?

I have had this phone since it first came out. Unfortunately I did not try the Bluetooth until about a week ago. I have a Motorola headset that works fine (volume a little low) but disconnects after my phone goes in sleep mode. I have to turn the bluetooth radio off and then on to connect again. My phone also locks up (once in a while) when the bluetooth radio is on and I have to hit the reset button in order to get it working again. Is anyone else having this problem? I am wondering if I got a lemon? Verizon said they have had no complaints about it, but then again I am questioning Verizon's ability to create an actual database of complaints. Is there anyone else out there with these complaints?

For all the experts...try and explain this one?

I have the 6600 on verizon network...I have tried to work with Verizon for 4 days on this and here is the mystery issue.

I am on the pay as you go EDO, because I am traveling and will probably never use the service and under this plan they charge per minute...problem is with #777 string there is no disconnect option, so I set up my own connections like my Audiovox Thera with #19788 for express network and #762 for quick2net and then there is a disconnect...every 24 hours I get a text message saying "Your device settings were changed succesfully" then my connections get wiped on the pocket pc...if you try and readd those connections they say they are there but not visable in the connections screen, so you cannot chose a connection.

Audiovox Bluetooth Patch

Just want to let everyone know that Audiovox is aware of the problem and they are currently fixing the problem. They said they may have a patch within a couple of days to a week to give to Verizon for us to download. I will not hold my breath!

Jabra BT250 Bluetooth Headset

Does anyone use the BT250 with this phone? My headset stops working after the phone goes into power save mode and will only work again after a reset of the phone (with the stylus).

Any tricks to getting the 6600 (Verizon) without a data plan!

Any tricks to getting the xv6600 without a data plan!! I want the phone for the PDA functionality and don't want to pay $25 a month for data. Verizon says they won't sell me the phone w/o a data plan and even went as far as saying that it HAS to have a data plan for updates that it does many times a day and would not function correctly w/o it.

I say that is BS. I want the phone from Verizon, anyone know how I can get it and possibly cancel the data the next month or something like that?

Uh Oh - Bluetooth Problems

Tried pairing it with my Acura TL. No battery indicator, no signal strength indicator and NO VOICE COMMAND DIAL OUT!!! It will allow incoming calls but dial out must be on the phone. Worse than the v710 if that's possible. Back it goes. Will there ever be a standard for bluetooth? sigh! 😈 😡

Dual NAM Support?

Can you program two separate phone numbers on this device....I currently use a Samsung i600 and can use one line solely for data and the other line for voice - it wold be nice to do the same with this phone (the Samsung blows for internet use).

PRL Question

The more I use this thing the more I love it! I set up Wireless Sync today which was totaly easy and it works perfect. Now my Aol email comes straight to my xv6600. The one thing I notced today is that on my cell phone and on my old i600 which the xv6600 replaced the prl was 50233 and on the xv6600 it is 50225. I think that the 50225 was the prl before the 50233 but when I do a *228 option 2 it never changes my prl. What is your prl and do you guys think this is normal?

WIFI on the Verizon XV6600

Does anyone known if the hardware for the WIFI is actually on the phone in the verizon version? Not that I really need WIFI but I would really like to have it if it is there.

If it is on the phone any ideas on how to enable it.

Thanks

Information lost after battery discharges

My battery completely discharged one evening - the next morning I woke to find that all of the information had been cleared from the phone (installed software, contacts, calendar events, etc).

When I remove the battery from the back of the phone, after waiting 1/2 hour (or so) and replace the battery, the Power Control Panel shows that the backup battery is at 0%. Is this normal?

Anybody have these problems? The people at Verizon are telling me that this phone will loose all of its information soon after the battery is depleted.
