Anybody using with MSN (hotmail)...question

WHen I receive my notification for a new email, the pulldown curtain shows the number of new emails...however, when I go under email; the number is different (reflects a larger number of unread, perhaps old, emails) and many time there are no "NEW" emails since the prior notification...any ideas?

1. Anyway to go back to lock screen without having to hit top button?

Anyway to have phone ringer OFF and receive messaging/email ring or vibrate prompts?

What are the best apps to customize contact messaging?...using phone as a text pager and a 2 second blip certainly will not wake me up.

Motorola Media Sync

I downloaded Motorola Media Sync and was able to upload my itunes and and other music and videos to the Motorola Desktop, but for some reason I can't get it to upload to my Droid. When I mount and sync the phone it says it's syncing, but none of the 4000 songs and videos actually upload to the Droid. Anyone else have this issue? Am I doing something wrong?

Tech info?

Does any one have any technical operational specs? Primarily The cortex A8 is able to run at much higher speeds. Does this phone had a dynamic clocking to ramp up speed and unfortunately power draw for more intensive operations?

Any other specs not listed would be great as well.

Thanks

I wish there was an IQ test before some of these guys did reviews. I also wish I could come here to get honest opinions about this phone and not ridiculous over reactions.

Call Quality?

I have been reading reviews and forum posts on several websites and see that alot of people are complaining about the call quality on the Droid. I am contemplating the Droid or the Storm 2 and wonder which has better call quality. Sounds like the Storm 2 may be better.

Anyone care to give me their opinion? I had the Tour and people kept complaining about the call quality on that so I returned that. This is my second upgrade so I don't have that 30 day money back guarantee anymore.

VZW_data_plan_required?

I know that a data plan is required for the phone is there any trick around this? Like have the data plan X number of months then down grade to a cheaper plan with or without penalty?

Thanks

Iphone killer? Not a chance

having just spent a year struggling with the blackberry storm, i went to the iphone and ATT a couple weeks back. I was at verizon today to upgrade my wifes phone and was given demonstrations of the motorola droid by no less than 3 sales people (once they saw my iphone they couldn't help themselves i guess).

i was hoping for more from motorola but was very disapponted. so some observations:

- screen transitions were choppy not smooth and fluid like the iphone.
- overall design is clunky and kind of like a brick. i like the htc droid phone much better.
- lack of control of the software and hardware platform was evident given the lack of ergonomic factors.
- screen swiping was choppy not smooth like the iphone

- some of the app's we...

Droid over HTC Imagio, why does the Droid get all the press?

I'm just wondering why the Droid get's so much more press than the Imagio? I compared the two phones on the Verizon site and it looks like the Imagio has almost everything the Droid has, in some cases more.

What am I missing here. I really like the slick design of the Imagio and don't really need the keyboard on the Droid but I'm just curious to know how/if the Droid is so much better.

Camera questions

I have read in quite a few reviews that the camera does not take good pictures. If this is the case, can it be fixed by a software update, or is it a hardware issue?

False comparisons...

Stock comparisons or not, you're downloading apps and applying patches to give the Droid the functionality it claims to have over the iPhone yet you don't include all the "jailbreak" features that adds to the iPhone??? Regardless of whether or not one "thinks" they should jailbreak is not debatable, the jailbreak "option" is there and takes less time than it does to install an app on either the Droid or the iPhone. So please start comparing apples to apples people!

I've gone through hundreds of lists of features that Droid claims it can do and the iPhone cannot, I've tested a Droid now for 3 days, and guess what... I have see NOTHING the Droid does that the iPhone cannot do (and/or do better)!

I'm definitely NOT saying the Droid is a...
